Generations had several smaller problems that weren't directly tied to the gameplay. They were the kind of thing that wouldn't have killed a game on their own but dragged the game down as a group.

Things like the overabundance of non-hunt quests, the understandable yet still frustrating lack of difficulty due to no G Rank, the lack of build variety due to the strength of Deviant gear, the lack of build variety in general due to the lack of gem slots in a lot of gear, the gutted and boring monster intros, the total lack of even a simple narrative, how easy it is to break the game with Adept style, and a nebulous, hard-to-pin lack of the MH atmosphere I've come to love.

I'm not asking for a full-blown story but even something small and personal like getting revenge on Tigrex or having Gore/Shagaru as a long-standing rival added extra motivation and satisfaction to the game. They maybe kind of tried to do something with the Fated Four in Gen but they were easily killable on their first encounters and you killed them for real so shortly after that it all fell flat.

I think Glavenus took 35 and the others took ~25 for me. The thing is that they weren't really all that intimidating or hard to fight, they just had mountains of HP. The question isn't really about content since both games have roughly the same amount.
3U on the WiiU framerate is not only capped at 30fps, it regularly tanks visibly below that in certain areas and during some monster attacks. There's also micro-stuttering and a weird shimmering effect that strain the eyes.
I used to be a huge 3U advocate simply because you could play it on a big screen with a controller, but now I'd seriously recommend the New 3DS version of 4U.

And the fact that some of Frontier's content is more or less vanilla doesn't excuse the travesty that comes later.
