I do wish they'd stuck closer to Joe Mad's original design for her. The pants under her armor are odd and out of place for his normal aesthetic. The trailer also had a very "Antz" vibe to it somehow.

I think the biggest thing is that they need to get rid of her irises and give her all white eyes. Death had irises in the DSII CG trailers though so hopefully her design gets cleaned up by release.

As for the story, yeah, they got some 'splainin' to do. If this is another "sidequel" I swear to fucking God.

First of all, the game makes a BIG DEAL about the riders of the apocalypse. Mythologically, those are War, Death, Famine, and Pestilence. Who the fuck is 'Fury'?

Secondly, this trailer looks like the game is designed by some cucked committee intent on checking every single box on their 'political correctness' list. I have absolutely no respect for any developer or publisher who compromises the artistic vision of a project to appeal to SJWs or whatever is currently 'in'. Therefor, Fury and her whole design can go suck a fucking cock. Wake me up when they redesign her to be Famine or Pestilence themed, and not be some ridiculous SJW wet dream of a character.

Fourthly, I found the Darksiders games as a whole to be tedious in the extreme. I never finished 1 or 2. They just aren't fun games.

DSI on steam is bugged as hell.

there are seven of them and if you break all seven you trigger the apocalypse and summon the horsemen

somehow in the first game abaddon manages to break six out of seven seals and trigger the apocalypse but War is mysteriously summoned anyway (later revealed to be because the charred council knew what was going on the whole time).

Then Abaddon has Ulthane reforge some of the seals.

Then at the end of the game Uriel breaks the seventh seal anyway.

All but one was broken, then repaired by Ulthane in order to frame the legions of Hell for starting the apocalypse early.

The council knew about the conspiracy but are powerless to take action themselves. The horsemen are their muscle that does all their dirty work, but won't act on their orders unless they have proof of foul play. Since the seals were reforged there is no evidence of the conspiracy available to them, so they can't rely on the horsemen to bring order.

So they falsely summon War, and ONLY War, because he has a short temper and is easily swayed by notions of vengeance. They frame the early doomsday on him and imprison him. However, they offer him a chance to find the true conspirators and clear his name, sending him off on his quest. They knew he was innocent, but thought it was the only way he would take action. This ultimately blows up in their face as the tree of knowledge reveals their scheme to War, leaving him with a taste for vengeance towards them, as well as abbadon.

Got Deathinitive edition on GOG at release. Had several visual bugs with my xbone controller not being supported, and since it wasn't on steam they took forever fixing it. There were also some game breaking CTD bugs that were patched out after about a month or two from release. Now it's basically fine, but I think there's still some bugs in the DLC that can halt progression.

No idea about the first game remaster, but I've heard it looks much better. Considering how cheap they are right now I'd say it's worth it.
