It's funny that the best gaming tablets ate still the Google Pixel C and Nvidia Shield Tablet. The Google Pixel C has the exact same Tegra X1 as the switch and cost twice as much. The Shield Tablet has the older and weaker K1. Switch is not underpowered for a tablet. It's underpowered for a dedicated gaming console along the lines of PS4/XB1 but considering it's also a battery-powers portable tablet with detachable controllers while those are giant boxes tethered to a wall outlet... well. The shield tablet doesn't have a K1 at full clock speed. It also has much lower memory bandwidth and a shitty CPU (A15). It throttles under heavy load as well which is the whole reason why the switch docked doesn't even run at 100% clocks. The Shield has Android overhead too.

At any rate, the GPU is more powerful which is what's important. Especially when you consider they could have went with a 16nm chip, there's no argument that the Switch isn't using obsolete hardware. The real reason that nothing comparable is priced similarly is because there's no market for this type of thing. Nintendo is trying to create one, and using very dated technology no less (like they always do)

Only problem with that is I own a Wii U, and both of those games for the Wii U.
They are good enough games that I could go for them again for the portability, but I feel kind of ripped off on MK8 for buying it and the DLC on Wii U, and not having any discount option for Switch.
Then again I hacked the shit out of my 3DS and have pirated many more games than I have bought on it by now, so I guess this makes up for it
