I can deal with guns not being realistic and such if the game has no intentions of portraying itself that way. Obviously stuff like Postal 2 isn't trying to be realistic, but BF1 certainly was being advertised as a realistic WW1 game. A WW1 historian even got interviewed about it and basically said it was nothing like WW1 at all.

CoD 1-5 were definitely attempted to be decently plausible and everything after that is gunwank 12-year-olds-idea-of-badass shit but still tried to masquerade as realistic with licensed gun names and everything.

DICE is really inconsistent on whether they want this to be an interpretation or whether it's historically accurate. You can find interviews where two different developers say two vastly different things. Even though anyone with two brain cells knows it's nowhere near historically accurate.

There's one chambered, no reason to charge.

Take Snake in MGS4 for example, he always charges after a reload because that's what he was trained to do, they even have the full round eject and not just the brass.
