Pretty good, but it was never worth getting a ps4 solely for this one game like sonyfriends wanted everyone else and themselves to believe when it came out. Nowadays they'll say that getting a console just for this game is silly since other titles have been released and that they were totes just kidding about the console being justified by a single game, but don't believe this ruse.

It's pretty mediocre if you've played through all the souls games already. You can see the few things 3 took f I'm it. The base game is pretty weak on its own. The DLC provides the first real challenges in the game. And the Hunterss in the open world are more fun to fight than any of the retarded monsters that require no real learning curve of the movesets.

Its clearly the best souls game, moving out of the antiquated mechanics that made everything after DeS and DS so stale and redundant. Especially the vial and V.a systems that drive the game ever forward were to my liking.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I felt Dark Souls 2 levels of boredom in some areas and boss fights. It's better than 2 but not 1 or 3. Well to be fair I haven't finished the DLC. But that's not going to make the base game retroactively better. It's ok but its fan base is awful and disregard a lot of the crap and they will just meme away any criticism as PC NEVER EVER bullshit.

The problem with BB builds is like with arcane or some weapons require you to grind for the gems to make them viable. And if you go arcane then you're going through the worst fucking chalice dungeons ever. Chalice dungeons are just fucking bad in general.

The Byrgenwerth area is severley lacking.

You cannot enter the basement where story relevang things happened. Byrgenwerth is also way too small so players that struggled with Shadows and Rom will be introduced to farming.

Not trying to argue, but I find it funny that DaS is the only soulsborne game where I don't feel in control. Everything feels clunky, the movement, the rolling (especially when locked in), the attack animations, enemy attacks. When I recently started playing DeS I was surprised to see that I don't have this problem, DaS is somehow the worse one gameplay/control wise for me.

While BB and DaS3 were pure joy to play, everything plays out exactly how I want it to, I can do whatever I want and don't have clunky and unifinished mechanics working against me.

Start with the cane, don't bother with arcane/bloodtinge builds until you finished the game and play aggressive. And keep in mind that base game has very few weapons and they are easy to miss while you get bombarded with weapons in the DLC.

I'm a pcbro and when BB came out, I knew it was good, but though /v/ was overreacting just because it was exclusive, and was literally the only game the PS4 had (and still has).

Then my little brother told me he's selling his PS4 so I took it for 3 weeks, bought BB+DLC and played 20h on day on meth for those 3 weeks, found every secret, did 10 playthroughs, upgraded every weapon, did every build. Haven't played since, and as much as I love DaS3 and replay it once a week, I recently decided to buy a PS4 just so I can replay it. And it's the only game I'm interested in.

Yes, it is that good. The first hour or so is just unbearable until your eyes get used to the slideshow tier framerate, motion sickness inducing blur, horrible chromatic aberation and pathetically long loading times, but then it's pure kino. But you HAVE TO buy the DLC, base game feels really short without it and has very few weapons, but you get bombarded with them in the DLC. And the DLC has the second and fourth best souslborne bosses after Gael and Friede.
