What's the best way to make friends who play videogames?
I've tried STEAM and it just doesn't work, usually their is a huge age difference, we just don't have the same sense of humor. Have you ever made friends at a videogame convention?
I've had the most luck by simply playing video games I like and making acquaintances there, one of them turned out to live rather close to me and I actually helped him move a couple years back. People looking for friends just for the sake of having online friends tend to be desperate and annoying shitters.

23. I should probably just stop playing videogames and focus on other things nowadays anyways. It's just more fun to bond with people over silly story simulators instead of beer and hockey. I'm probably just a little sour because after my ex and I broke up, I don't really have friends of my own anymore.
Not my blog, though.

Yeah. Avoid steam threads like the plague. I found some nice people in porn threads somehow.
Conventions are fucking horrible. Unless you already have a group of friends no one is gonna wanna hang out with you even with mutual interests. I just want to hang with people who I can be assholes with.
