He's still just Ganon in the Spanish versions too it looks like. Yeah, "Calamity" is not canon, but we've known that since the first footage of the Japanese version started coming out. It's supposed a reference to Great Cataclysm from A Link to the Past. NoA probably changed it because it sounds better when you say it. Cataclysm is kind of a tongue twister.

Firstly, You're implying no-one who complains about the dub speaks the language, which is stupid. Secondly, good acting transcends language seeing as acting is emotion and emotions are a universal language. Thirdly, zelda's voice is bad. It's out of place to have a character with a HEAVY British accent while everybody else speaks with the standard stereotype american accents (nasal snob, throaty big, rugged dude, smooth motherly, somewhat sexy voice etc) with no hint of a local accent. The king speaks with a fake British accent which is even worse. Acting mostly comes down to the director so the fault mostly lies with him/her but Zelda's voice and acting are bad and people have the right to complain seeing she's the character that talks the MOST throughout the entire game.

I would actually accept the British voice if ALL Hylians spoke with a heavy accent and the other domains actually HAD an accent other than standard American. Just came out, from what I hear it's a straight-up patch on the Switch version while it's a free DLC you must get off the eShop on the Wii U version. Then you go to the options menu and there's a new added option that lets you choose the language of the voices. I've already switched to Japanese and I'm watching the memories again.

Kid Icarus Uprising's original script was a by the numbers adventure with some basic humor but a generally boring tone.

NoA turned the entire thing into a fucking incredible saturday morning cartoon and altered several personalities to be more interesting and humorous.
