I have a TES from SFIV, and it was giving me a similar problem. Turns out the problem was the pad selection switch(the thing that lets you choose if your stick functions as either your left stick, d-pad or right stick from a regular controller). I had it set to left stick, and the game fucked my inputs because it was trying to emulate the movement of an analogue stick. Switching it to d-pad mode fixed the problem for me.

Slayer and Jam are quite easy. Jam has some tricky confirms and a lot of specifics but her general stuff is quite simple.

My advice is if you feel comfortable dashing, doing instant air dashes and such things on stick - you should use it. If you have troubles, pad will be easier for you. Stick is better in the long run as "standard" controller though.

You don't use her slash super, you use the one out of the command dash. It does more damage and is in one big chunk. It's 200+ damage midscreen off a basic c.s confirm.

And yeah, it catches mids perfectly well. The big issue is that you can low profile the S followup, so if you see Baiken against characters like Sol and Venom you'll see her use it less often. I still see it plenty, especially the aerial version.

Is it just me or does GGs gameplay seems too random/ inconsistent?

Maybe it's how the game is supposed to be, matches just looks so scrappy. Like the two players are just dashing around and it's just like counterhits left and right because both are retarded pressing buttons. Combos are dropped all over the place and the life bars are skewed or something.

this makes for a really bad game to watch as a viewer.

Wew I guess I was wrong it seems none of the characters I like are worth picking up I tried picking up the game with ky but i feel like I give NO damage and a lot of his specials only go in combos on CH or with advanced stuff.

I'm trying to get into this game but it seems every character has some kind of quirk that makes just picking up someone a hassle. I'm just chalking it up to being bad at fighters especially anime.

If you can do the half circle from a normal you can get any follow-up you want instantly. Just input the followup you want at the same time you do the motion and press kick. So to get the uppercut for example from 2d, use 2d - 63214k+p. If you can just cancel into the HCB, you can make it anon. Take it slow, and it'll come easier as you keep playing.
