>incoherent mess of a half-baked plot that feels like a movie you walked in on an hour late
>completely boring non-descript characters
>painfully boring gameplay
>broke as fuck shooting controls
>the entire game is braindead hacking minigame, push Q to cutscene kill guard, repeat
Am I missing something? How the fuck does this game have a 90 on Metacritic?

>how could someone possibly like and enjoy something i don't?!
Wait till you play Mankind Divided , that game is literally trying to expand its universe and bring up unresolved plot elements for the next game (Which will never happen)

Completed this last week, was pretty fun. The hacking does get tedious late game though.
Gonna start mankind divided tomorrow

It's fun

It starts very slowly and the tutorial missions aren't great and it takes effort to ignore the cover shooty stuff, but it gets better halfway through Detroit and after.

HR was pretty good overall.
Shame that Mankind divided got cut in half.
Playing criminal past now...
I put it off for months, now this is my final bite of deus ex.
Until I replay them all

>Incoherent plot
I don't think I've ever heard anyone complain about this. The plot isn't exactly complex. What did you have a hard time with exactly?
And this game is great. 90 isn't high enough.
"It's allows for 2 playstyles" or some bullshit. I thought that game was a pile of shit from a mile away

There are a lot of complex threads going on, like you wouldn't fully understand the final boss fight without playing The Missing Link DLC, which explains the Hyron Project
Also even the main characters are confused about their own motivations at times, like Darrow claims to have tried to prevent humanity enslaving itself to the Illuminati through augmentation, yet the Cassie Augmentation options show he did it partially out of jealousy of the augmented
Everything is explained if you read all the emails, but most people aren't going to do that
Still my favourite game of all time though, so much depth if you look for it
What's a game with a good sci fi plot and rpg elements?
For example : A game where you could spend hours just reading the wiki for more of the lore/branches you didn't take.
Another thread got deleted so this one could exist
