Anyone else preordered this game? It will be the best Indie FPS this year, I'm calling it.
Strafe thread.
I'm excited but worried about the procedurally generated levels.

>procedurally generated levels
I think it's Contrarian hipsters who are hating on it because of it's popularity. People comparing it to handmade levels don't understand the replay value of it.

It's a roguelite
>it's a dev shills his shit game episode
>>375653596
No. It has "Roguelike" elements in it.
>>375651086
The collector's edition contains pogs. That's all you need to know.
>>375653646
This. I hate how easily the term shill is thrown around here but this Strafe poster is pretty fucking obvious.
>>375651086
No one here brags about preorders other than preorder cancellation.
>>375653873
>comes with pogs
Do these assholes not realize they are constantly confusing early 90s with late 90s?
>>375653646
This. Constant threads for days. So blatantly the same guy who is clearly the dev. Game looks like trash too.
>>375653783
so it's a roguelite
>>375654017
Literally who?
>Minecraft graphics
>Terrible randomly generated levels
>Roguelite
>Stupid, incoherently designed enemies
>Guns all look and sound weak, no power or impact behind them
>More like a Serious Sam wave based horde mode than Quake or Doom like it keeps saying it is inspired by
Looks bad.
>>375654017
He's not wrong
I know a good 20 or so people that ive shown Strafe had said the same thing as well
People just don't like procedural generated levels anymore
All the shitty indie games ruined the novely
>>375653596
what's that screenshot from?
>>375654017
>Implying copying a tweet makes you right
It's the way you construct your procedural generating "engine." If it's just a bunch of random seeds the level will be boring.
Spelunky got the procedural generation right and they did it a specific way.
