Khurain was a nice change of pace, but I imagine they couldn't do a whole lot with it before things start getting too repetitive in terms of plot, character types and locations.

The final case was treated as Apollo's swan song, it wrapped up just about everything about his character, with the background of his dead dad explained, Phoenix acknowledging him, and him handling a huge defining case. If he does return it'll likely be for Edgeworth-style cameos.

Yeah there's still the subject of his estranged mother, but I imagine they'd focus that more on Trucy's character arc then anything.

I immediately knew who the mastermind of the 2nd case was because big tits in this series typically only belong to victims or villains. You can count the exceptions on one hand.

I liked parts of AAI1 but not really any of the cases in full. Like in the 3rd case, I liked that escape segment in the beginning and the figuring out the mechanics of the mirror house at the end but goddamn everything inbetween was a complete slog.

I've plotted out a general 5 case outline for a game that involves the judge being the victim of a murder attempt. First case (possibly first non-tutorial case) has you bust a guy that was a higher up in a crime syndicate. He swears revenge on everyone in the court. Your star witness is the victim of the next case and after the first day of trials the judge is attacked/poisoned or whatever. A new, no-nonsense, serious business judge becomes the primary antagonist and acts like a hardass for the remainder of the case as well as case 3 and 4. Case 5 has you expose the judge himself as being a part of the crime syndicate and you take him down. Real judge recovers for a happy ending, doesn't for an edgey one.

Debeste would make a cameo as the prosecutor for the tutorial and first case, exciting fans, then would be rushed into witness protection after the death of the witness and wouldn't appear for the rest of the game.

You can guess who the culprit is through knowledge of the series conventions, but if you're playing the games in release order you probably aren't going to be able to properly predict who the culprit is until 2-2 or 2-3 (and you'll still get floored by 2-4). Obviously this doesn't count 1-1, 1-2, and 2-1.
