BB and DaS3 are incredibly similar with DaS3 clearly even using unused BB levels like the library which clearly feels like a BB level.

Not everyone has played BB or has access to a PS4.

One of the main problems I had with bloodborne is the trick weapons. In the surface it seems like there's more variety, but you could always switch between two weapons at the press of a single button - they just made it so you couldn't choose your combination, limiting build variety. Before you could have a dagger and a greatsword, but no more. It's like the gun mechanic and no shields - seems like it's great at first but realistically all it means is every playthrough forces you play as if you have a dex build, even when you don't.

Nothing about the vilebloods having corrupted blood seems to be a lie. First point being the Cainhurst nobles clearly have lineage going back to the Pthumerians, who had filthy blood that began the very first beast scourge. Second point being Annalise refers to both herself and all of Cainhurst as "vilebloods" and she seems to take actual pride in her filthy blood.

If I wanted to make conjecture, I could say that in Cainhurst society there's a connection with the filthier the blood, the higher in prestige you are for your pedigree. Again, perhaps because of the strong associations with that and Pthumerian lineage. Arianna seems to have some ancestry from Cainhurst, and she actually ends up bearing a Great One infant, where Annalise continually attempts to do so.

It's viewed as good, yes, because of the associations with the Great Ones. But as the game shows us, that usually ends up being a lot worse than it seems. Like how in the era this game is inspired by, mercury was seen as remedial, not poisonous.

The point of the Yharnam Stone shows Mergo was being born literally of blood, from the queen of the Pthumerians herself, showing an explicit connection with that sort of blood, and Great One communion.
