What do /v/ thinks of free to pay games where the developer makes money off cosmetics microtransactions?
Is that a moral microtransaction model?

Yes, this is fine.

Fine but often leads to normally obtainable costumes to be bland or samey. See BDO.
ami > minako
Yes, only rub is
>Want a specific outfit or accessory
>is only bundled with 4-5 different outfits you could care less about so you need to pay 5 times as much as you would have if they only let you pay for the one item
>>373319369
I don't care that much about cosmetics so sure.

My concern with such a setup is that there will inevitably be a focus on the microtransactions rather than the game itself, which would mean that the game itself would receive less focus. Or, more commonly, the game system will be designed with the intent to keep people on its treadmill as opposed to enjoyment or interest in the game itself. A lot of these F2P microtransaction games are bad simply because the games themselves are bad, and designed to be bad, because entertainment is not the intent. Skinner box training to get people to return is the intent.
>Is that a moral microtransaction model?
I don't see how morality factors in here. Bad game design is not necessarily immoral. If they were stealing credit card information, that would be immoral. But making a shit game is not.
What's the best Sailor Moon vidya?

The SNES RPG or the arcade beat-em-up.
Those are the only two that aren't total shovelware.
>>373321792
The RPG one is often considered the best.

>One-piece swimsuit
>sen is kill
fuck you piratefags

>another one bites the dust
Nobody's forcing you to pay or play, although microtransactions do seem to attract a certain kind of cunt, and devs and publishers love those idiots

Its ok as long as its only cosmetics
Only if they follow the same model Tera does. Minus certain costumes that were locked to gamble boxes.
Charge money for them but let players trade them so people who don't want to pay cash can still get the costumes from those who are willing to.
In-game services like name changes, race changes and server transfers should all be handled as tokens that you redeem to activate that service as well.

as long as you can get some cosmetics free then idgaf
Pso2 did this well im not sure how it is now though. I heard it got more jewish but back then it was the most fair f2p game i ever played.
