I have this weird problem where once every so often I get really back into digimon since I only saw a bit of it as a kid, sit down and watch almost and entire season and then just stop for some reason.

The first 2 arcs of Adventure were great even in English and Tamers had some of the most interesting real world shit going on but I still couldn't finish the last 10 episodes or so.

The movie is still great though holy shit.

I watched all of Xross Wars dubbed and regret it thoroughly. I did not enjoy that show.

I haven't played Next Order yet but I know that adding Megas made the grind worse because that just means Champions are useless now from a game balance perspective.
In the original you could get a champion and go through quite a bit of the island but with ReDigitize champions were just more time wasters until you got to Ultimate and Mega.

Re:Digitize also had the problem where the time was completely fucked so walking around even one map was an hour or more which you had tot do constantly, you had to savescum if you wanted to actually explore, and unless you had a 700+ all stat Digimon you weren't going to get past the Ultimates let alone Megas. But the game's base concept is gaining stats via Battles/Gym. Making progress, making the next gen a bit easier ect. So yeah, its a bit grindy.
