I'm an uninformed dipshit when it comes to computer science, so this is a legitimate question. How is it possible for a game like Heavy Rain to have animation glitches like this at all? From what I understand, cutscenes in it have no dynamic elements whatsoever, i.e. it's playing the same animations in the same place every time, and I doubt that it has any dynamic physics. So what circumstances would cause the animation/skeleton to occasionally wig out?

Yea you got that right. I tried to keep going after the first few hours but everyone was telling me to just give it up and play a different game. I honestly tried to give it a chance man.... But it was too fucking boring and had no scare factor in it for the few hours I played it.

You all make it sound like it wasn't supposed to be a horror game. It should've been scary and thrilling from beginning to end. I don't have time to care about all the filler crap they had me doing.

It's because when people design scary shit they make it spooky from the ground up, so it's usually not very grounded. But these sport game glitches start with normal human models then they get fucked, so it's the close to human look or movements that are warped, makes it creepy.
