Smash Bros seems so normal now but really a crossover of that magnitude had never happened in game before since Battletoads and Double Dragon (That's a real game look it up)

Although OP may actually be trolling by saying "Nobunaga from Nioh," the Oda Nobunaga featured in Nioh, with the exception of his powers and role in the story, is a carbon copy of the Nobunaga featured in Nobunaga's Amibition. The creator of Nobunaga's Ambition and Nioh are the same iirc and he has a pretty clear vision of how he wants to portray Nobunaga, which isn't necessarily the same as how he's portrayed elsewhere.

As mundane as it sounds, playing a game where you're dropped off as a horned human living in a town of talking anthropomorphic animals. Living day by day as you try to scrounge up petty cash by catching bugs, fishing, and digging up fossils to pay off your (seemingly) neverending debt as you horde stuff in your tiny, but slowly growing house.

That is until you realize it's one of the most comfy and addicting games you can play

Smash Bros got me into videogames.

I was a regular normie kid who watched pokémon on TV. Through Pikachu I got into Smash Bros, and then got curious about the other characters and then to the rest of the industry.
Smash works as both game and advertisement and they know it, thats why they put so much care into the series today. As many references as possible, demos of classics, etc. The investment return of Smash goes beyond the sales of Smash.

What I like the most about Msash 64 is how experimental it feels. The menu music kind of shows you this is a weird idea, a test. The premise that they are just toys and the eerie tune that plays when you defeat the Master hand that was playing/controlling you. Smash was experimental.
