Current 150 onwards is fast and diverse.

Either you do PB prequests, colossus dungeon, or farm a high demand map. It's until 190 where your options reduce to twilight perion, but even then the exp rates aren't bad. One and a half level every 30 minutes under the right conditions, or 190 to 200 in one night.

Then you train alongside them in the tree tops map on green slimes and stumps? You might party up with some, make friends with others; the grind will always be a slog, but it was always fun to just hang out with your bros.

They should let you trade more stuff like gear from your main to alts through storage in reboot but not player to player. Trading let's people get ahead just through nepotism and without actually playing the game. Although more farm spots with good spawn rates without the need of kanna would be good as well. Reboot is BOT tier of grind past 500-700k range. You need to farm an estimated of 60bil mesos to duo cvell and 100+ for solo. Which is about 6months to a year farming 5/10hrs daily.

Of all the things wrong with Maple, this is not one of them. You used to get multiple pieces of gear per boss. Now the relevant boss drops coins for the whole party (most of them are instanced). It takes 1-3 weeks (that's running it 1-3 times) of CRA to get a full CRA set.

That other big land was Orbis. You could go there any time, you just had to pay the 6k for the boat trip. It wasn't worth it unless you were level 30 though.

Fun fact: if you had a high level character and could grind on the Coolie Zombies far in El Nath and farm their teeth, you could get your other characters from level 10 to level 30 in minutes by doing the Orbis Exchange Quest.

In Reboot it's grind2win and progression is mostly linear.

There is literally no point in playing GMS anymore.
It's basically single player. Nexon managed to fuck up what defined an MMO and made it basically an online singple player game.
All the jobs are essentially the same in which their skills are the same.
Most skills aren't even job specific anymore like flash jump which used to be only for Hermits. Now you got warriors jumping all over the place.
Everyone can do high damage and it makes you feel like your items don't even matter.
You allocate all your AP on one fucking stat now.
You're just grinding endlessly to get more items that don't really matter.
End game is really just you trying to be able to kill bosses in 5 seconds which used to be a team effort for much much longer.
