I played X6 again the other day after years since my last play of it. I want to like that game but fuck, I just don't.

Pretty much the only upside to my run was realizing that the donut rings in Heatnix's stage are pretty easy with Zero.

I keep getting told that X6 is still miles better than X7. I've never played X7 but I'll be doing so for the first time today, so I guess I'll find out firsthand.

Or you can go out your way to get Subtanks. From Zero 2 onwards you can find one in a stage.

How do I get good at Battle Network?
Should I focus my folder around just one code or should I go for the combination mega-chips?

The best folders are ones that use the chips with the most damage (the biggest numbers). Just make a folder of those and you'll be all set. Don't worry about their codes: If you have only high damaging chips you'll always be able to beat the enemy no matter what chips you draw.

Also, sometimes chips try to trick you by having lower numbers, but they hit more times, so you get more damage. Battle Network is tricky like that.

Early-mid game you can just stick whatever's the strongest chips you have. Later you'll want to look into Program Advance and proper combos. Gamefaqs usually have a faq for each game for great folders. As a general rule you want mono or dual-code, fast flowing chips that go well together. If MMBN2+, consider your style/union and NaviCust too.
