Girlfriend updated my hacked 3DS with Pokemon Moon. I hadn't used the new method with a9lh and shit, so it fucked it up. Softmoded my brother's since he never uses it, then transferred over.

Steel Diver can be finicky though. That was my issue. Keep doing the DSi downgrade and launching Steel Diver until it works. If it errors, repeat the process. Make sure you're using the right payload for it too.

I mean more the fact that before I set up for piriting, waiting for a hax on the current build, I pretty much can not use my 3DS. I had that issue waiting for a less Trial and Error downgrade for the N3DS back with ironhax and my 3DS was for all accounts 'bricked' because if I wanted to use it, I had to give up the ability to homebrew and downgrade it in the future.

Even without them you can still at least utilize waithax to install legit CIAs with a modified FBI fork, allowing you to install games that were distributed via bundles. The 3D feature is useless on the older models, you move it a hair and it messes up. I never used it on the old model, but when I got a N3DS I leave it on for most games, and when done well it looks great.

Also, with CFW you can force the N3DS to run every game in the N3DS's higher clock speed. Games have less slowdown and it's just a more enjoyable experience. Also having SNES games in pixel perfect mode in my pocket is quite nice, tbqh.

you can block do it all with browserhax with either racing your wifi to the browser or blocking intendo ips in your router.

if you know someone with a hacked 3ds you can downgrade easily.
that guy just needs to buy any dsiware game with a save file size of less than 4mb. which are mostly 2.99 or something.
install a hacked save file. then do a system transfer to yours and you are home free.
the only caveat is the dsiware game needs to be legit since pirated games dont transfer.
