There was, me and a bud used to love it as Halo fans, back in the original trilogy days. It was our first RTS, and eventually what got me into DoW and thus warhammer, so fond memories there.

Anyway, I hope that this one has some interesting stuff in it, good story, etc. I wish there would be more factions than human vs covenant this time, but it seems like they're going with a more neo-covenant type thing with the banished, so there may be differences. I'm just gonna do what I did during the wait for halo Wars 1, and hope for playable flood.

I think what that guy is trying to say is that APM should factor into any strategic considerations both you and your opponent make in a match.

Foregoing any kind of well planned strategy simply because you have a high APM is a sure road to defeat, as is the idea that you have no need to be fast and efficient if you have a good overall strategy.

They're both key aspects of an RTS that complement each other.

the halo wars 2 beta was pretty good.

on /v/ and reddit a bunch of people said that they had the 'perfect' strat and they were actually all different from eachother. i feel like that's good for an RTS game to have a variety of strats that you can pick and choose and still do well in if you know what you are doing.
