Been playing Old School Iron Man lately. With the Grand Exchange player interaction became negligible anyways, so no reason not to. Been a really fun challenge. It'll never be the same as right before I quit originally, but the new content updates are pretty cool. I'll stick to F2P until I've done all the free content, then probably buy a sub.

I liked the graphics update. I remember being hyped for them to release it after years of playing with the classic graphics. I quit right after GE. The loss of wildy never bothered me, but GE? GE ruined the game for me. I enjoyed fucking about in Varrock bank, just clicking "Trade" whenever I saw something that interested me. Frankly I wish RS07 didn't have that garbage. It's the reason I play Iron Man, because while it doesn't fix trading, it's at least still a challenge over the cake walk that is post-GE RS.

In my case it would be few accounts.
I always wanted to PvP in future, so I wouldn't let me make "unoptimalized" character. Because I didn't know that combat level raised from most trained combat style, I just stick to one style, then changed character when I wanted to play as mage instead of ranger, for example.

Honestly, I don't want to anymore. I think they're starting to hit their stride with RS3 finally. Invention really gave me hope for the future of RuneScape, and I'm really looking forward to the Mining/Smithing reworks.

Treasure Hunter is still dumb. I ignore it most of the time.
PvP and PvP minigames are still fucked. I ignore it most of the time.

But recent quests have been more than fine, and looking at their plans for future content makes me hopeful, like the City of Menaphos giving players a second hub to hang around in and pulling some folks away from constantly just being in Prifddinas all the time.

I'm actually really fond of combat how it is now. Sticking your Combat Mode to "Revolution" will automatically use the basic abilities in your hotbar, in order of placement, depending on which closest to the left is cooled down, meaning you only need to think about threshold abilities most of the time, and only ultimates very rarely. They're not the most efficient things, but I'm really fond of Defenders since they allow me to have more options in there, given that they act as both shields and dual wielding in terms of abilities, plus the fact that they've got a hidden accuracy bonus and the ability to deflect attacks on occasion. In terms of bosses and raids it is usually better to go full manual, but revolution works just fine for 98% of the game's content, and will be way less tedious in the long run.

CONTEXT:

This elf is on another fucking world aside from Gielenor and had no access to or knowledge of the Makeover Mage. Furthermore, it actually takes considerable effort to dig this information out of her, with it only being hinted at in her personal journals, locked away in a chest, and first mentioned in person after a long series of events. It is, relatively speaking, a minor detail of her character.

Far more important is the fact that she is attempting to ween herself off the magical crack cocaine before she loses her mind, and teach other elves of her world, what few remain left that haven't been lost to the crystal, to do so as well. The fact that her husband disappeared and you kill him, returning the wedding ring to her is of greater importance to her character than the fact she used to be female.

Just getting out there and realise that you have to get everything yourself made me appreciate drops like Water Talismans or Mithril Axes, i was freaking out over drops i would've just left on the ground if i was playing normally

That was more Jagex trying to make their gods more complex than just good and evil, so it's pretty silly to play old quests where Zamorak is still basically Satan, like Underground Pass. Also they're trying really hard to make it seem like Zamorak is not evil but just ''chaotic'', particularly with the Dishonour Among Thieves quest which was done by a bunch of zammyfag newcomer writers. At the end of it there's a scene where Zamorak says

That reminds me, on January they made a combat rework that was fucking amazing, you had things like ranged gear giving you things like enemy hp drain per hit, with the percentage rising depending on both the tier of your gear and how many pieces you were wearing, or all melee armor actually reducing damage (instead of just hit rate), earth spells now hit the strongest but were the least accurate, etc. It was amazing, and there was no EoC either so people were content.
