Third one is metal, like the first, but looks to be smaller. Just unscrew the watch and put the straps back in, pro tip cut the middle strap so that all three fit into it well and it won't fall out as much. Otherwise all three are the same length, even though the middle one cant hold as much of the strap.

So, I just came back from this.

HOLY SHIT.

I'm going to give a pretty in-depth walkthrough here. It's not my intention to ruin any of the surprises...and if you have even a remote shot at going to this, A) Don't read this, and B) BUY TICKETS NOW, but I understand getting to Los Angeles is well beyond the scope of most people, so I wanted to give them the chance to know what it was like.

But before we get all spoiler-y, apparently the game was made by a team who did in fact consult with Uchikoshi-san about the design. So, there's that.

Anyway...

Nine people are brought in and given the ZE schpiel. You've all been kidnapped, via sleeping gas, and you wake up in a strange room.

You're blindfolded and brought into a chamber. Before the blindfold comes off, an employee slips a watch onto your wrist (!!!) and a small notebook, locked, on a rope, onto your neck. You are not to remove either, of course, or a poison needle will kill you.

A video plays with Clover (her VLR model). This is original voice acting from the english VA, which is cool. She lays out the situation, the needle stuff, sixty minutes, and that our memories have been wiped...we've done this twice before. This is our third, and final, attempt. But we may have left clues...for ourselves...to help.

The lights come on, and there are three doors...green, blue, and red. Beside each door is a FUNCTIONING RED DEVICE. Hell yes.

No digital roots, though. My wristband has a green 2 on it, so I quickly join up with the other green wristbands, and tap our bands to the RED. After all three are tapped, the door opens (motorized). Upon entering, it closes and locks behind us.

Upon searching around, we find some more standard escape room type puzzles...involving lots of letters and whatnot...but not a lot of clues on how to solve them. But interestingly, we also find a tray that holds about twelve spheres. We also start finding said spheres hidden around the room, but some of them are clearly not meant for us. They're clearly meant for...

We also see two devices in the room...one red, one blue. It consists of a cup like device attached to a circular chain. Next to it is a vertical pipe attached to the ceiling, ending in a small pouch. We quickly realize that we need to *send certain spheres to other rooms* with this device, by putting the sphere in the cup and pulling it up the chain. We were the first room to figure out this mechanism; a minute or two after we send our first sphere to the other rooms, we started receiving some in return. After a while, we were able to piece enough of the spheres together to receive instructions on how to solve the room's puzzles.

Awesome.

There are also a set of six switches with symbols next to them near the door, but these don't seem to currently have any effect...

After solving the room's puzzles, we managed to get back out into the main chamber. The main chamber has changed: now, there's paper on the center table with a bunch of boxes on it, and three keys: green, red, and blue. These unlock our notebooks around our necks, which contain clues to the answers that go in the boxes, left by our past selves. Most of these clues involving combining information from multiple books and going back into all three of the rooms, so we had to constantly call out for other people's information. The red room escaped about ninety seconds after we did, and apparently, if two rooms get out, a failsafe opens up the third room automatically.

After solving all the puzzles, it ends up spelling out "Hold hands and shout hell". So, we gathered in a circle, joined hands, and yelled it out. The lights dim, and another video from Clover plays. Something something final phase.

During the video, numbers were placed on the red, blue, and green doors, and three locked briefcases were placed on the table (by one of the employees). We needed to split up into groups that would add up to these numbers. We each grabbed a briefcase, scanned our watches, and entered into a different room (for me, red this time).

Once in, the doors again locked behind us. Most of the puzzles in this room were already solved, of course...they were similar, if slightly different, to my first room's puzzles...but of course, the six switches remained. Upon opening the briefcase (the code was our watch numbers, in order), we saw numerous spheres, each containing half of a word. We also had a small circle wheel puzzle that gave us the answers to the *other room's* switches. We had to send one sphere (each containing half a word) to each of the other rooms, and hope they could solve the puzzle in return. We would then hit a switch. Once all three teams hit their switches, a countdown would begin. At the end of the countdown, we flipped what we believed was the correct switch, and if we were all right...we'd escape.

We did everything we were supposed to. But, success (which would have come at a record-pace 49 minutes in) was not to be ours...one of the other groups was convinced that there were *two* switches that needed to be hit, and so all of us failed. We got a sad failure video...Clover was actually just testing us, to see if we were worthy of joining her agency. But we weren't good enough...

Apparently only 3/14 groups have passed, thus far. I'm a little mad at the other group. We should have had it! We should have set the record! But...it's okay.

It remains one of the best escape rooms I've ever done. There were little easter eggs everywhere...Mars stuff, bluebirds, et cetera. It turned out the place was modeled to be Free the Soul's HQ...some of the clothing hooks said "Dio" and "Brother" and stuff. Really nice touches.

Anyway, I hope you didn't read that, because you're still thinking of going. If you are, GO. Just awesome stuff.

When the lights turn back on, we were allowed to go back to the puzzle. At first I didn't know the purpose of this until 30 minutes later, one of our team members disappeared.

And the the speaker turned on and announced that there's a traitor among us.

Well, consider how many people will be spoiled just by people who play the game on release. Not everyone buys a game on release, for any number of reasons, so the potential for spoilers was always there. Hell, both 999 and VLR were partially spoiled for me because I played both of them many months after their initial release

We're talking about a difference of days, and I think most people won't be spoiled regardless because they're not putting themselves in a position where they'd be spoiled. Threads like this are high spoiler risk, and anyone looking to avoid spoilers would not be here right now regardless
