I can't comment on the PC version at release, senpai. I bought the GOTY edition in the 360 a year later and thought it was fantastic. Wasn't a big fan of New Vegas though, don't really understand the love it gets on here. It was alright but it felt too empty and there was just something about it which felt tpvery off-putting.

After seeing what they've done to the dialogue I'm not sure what the hell to think. It limits so fucking much, Fallout 3/NV never had amazing gameplay but the character interactions and dialogue choices were interesting(particularly in New Vegas). When the first Witcher 3 gameplay released, all people did was bitch about a graphics downgrade.

Bethesda have made ONE fallout game.
And this, their SECOND Fallout game, improves upon what they did in every way.

You are clearly forgetting what a buggy glitchy texturing popping-in mess Fallout 3 was if you aren't excited for FO4.

But everyone enjoyed Fallout 3 despite that, just like everyone enjoy Skyrim despite how standing on rocks made you practically immune to any kind of physical attacker.

They can't keep getting away utilizing an engine that results in a sub-par gaming experience. They updated the visuals somewhat...I guess...but the visuals were never the problem, even if they are mediocre. The problem is that the AI is shit and the movement is ass.

When I saw the leak where the streamer was floating down a 180 degree cliff just by jumping on a few rocks on the way, I knew they had done nothing. Same with the running in the E3 trailer, even though they tried to mask it by zooming the 3rd person perspective right in.

Gamers really need to be more sensitive to quality. Remember that as the paying public we have the power over the developers and publishers, not the other way around. Bethesda haven't addressed the issues, so they aren't getting my money. See how long the normies keep buying their games with the recession hits.

I think the lighting in general is subpar but in this screenshot it's particularly shit because the pipboy light is on. player cast light in bethesda games never casts shadows because it makes the engine shit itself. Believe me, I've tried to mod them to work properly in the last Fallouts and Skyrim and you get some pretty interestingly retarded effects.

I guess what I'm saying is that this is a particularly bad example of lighting and it would probably look a bit better with the pipboy light off. However, the fact that bethesda still can't get PC light sources to work properly is just another thing that blows my mind so whatever, fuck em.

The world looks nice and interesting with lots of varied environments. The weapon crafting and modifications seem like a nice idea. The gunplay looks like it might actually be fun now. Wrong. Different strokes for different folks. Morrowind was great when it came out but is a chore to play by even the loosest standards today. Mods have never fixed the garbage combat or walls of generic text every NPC has. At least Oblivion and Skyrim knew how to shut up and let you fight without 8000 skill in a weapon.
