Worst game I ever played was a licensed movie title on the PS2 involving monkeys on Mars. I can't remember the name but it was probably called "Monkeys on Mars".

It was a 3D platformer. You moved like a tire and you jumped like you were being picked up and gently placed down.
I think there was some puzzle elements and combat in there too. The game just hurt to look at.

Monster Hunter 3 ultimate. Buy it on friend's recommendation, try it out, camera is shit, monsters take too long to kill for me to play while I'm on my break, FUCKING QUEROPECO or some shit like that flies away every goddamn time I find it, and MH4 was just on the horizon so it kinda ruined MH for me. It starts off fine and the away missions are okay but the fucking space combat is complete bullshit. The controls for flying the enterprise are slow as fuck while the Romulan war bird that attacks you can maneuver on a dime. You end up taking a shit load of damage that it takes up to 2 fucking hours of real time to repair. And half the time you get immediately jumped by another war bird right after you beat the first one if you beat the first one at all.

They didn't purposely fuck it up. Basically, WB asked them to remove superman hurting "real people" (it was based on the cartoons) pretty quickly before release. So Titus had to scramble stuff together and remove a bunch of stuff. In the process, they changed the story, added rings, and just overall dumbed it down. It was originally going to be somewhat open world I think, and less mission-based.

This game is the shittiest game i remember playing. The worst gimmick ever made, the damn scanner never worked.

I know people are gonna call this bait, but The Witcher 3. Jesus Christ, I got so bored playing it. I really, really tried to have fun with it, but I felt like there was just nothing to do outside of quests. I wanted to explore between missions, but it felt so empty that I actually got tired from playing it and wanted to nap. I had the same issue with Skyrim.

It's a generic answer, but Sonic 06. I was really careful about choosing good games to play, so it was also one of the first really bad games.

Because people bitch and moan to developers about how games are too small in map size and linear and, to remedy it, they made huge world's that expand for miles and miles, but have no content in them. The reason it was so bad for me is because I ate up all the hype and was so excited, to be literally bored to the point of falling asleep. As far as an actual bad game, I can't think of one off the top of my head. Most "bad games" like Diakatana, Sonic 06, or Bubsy 3D are obviously bad and shouldn't even be mentioned. Don't know about the worst game ever, but the worst one I've played after normalizing for the cost I paid for it would have to be Pillars of Eternity. I paid full price when it came out, and it's no wonder it went on sale for half off only a few months later.

At least in recent memory the Lego Marvel game for Wii U sucked a big one. I'm sure the game itself was alright (though nothing can compare to Lego Star Wars), but it ran horribly in co-op (the only reason to play Lego games), something like 10 fps.

I was honestly suprised such an awful port would be allowed, to my knowledge it hasn't been patched yet. And they say Nintendo is too hard on 3rd parties.
