>What are you using
>What's killing you
I'll be posting artwork I find. Actively trying to find new fanart.
>Saw Spear / Hunter Axe / Flamesprayer
>Red eye gargoyles in Cainhurst
Pretty fun game but the difficulty is too tied to weapons, it's super easy if they are upgraded. Struggled a lot more with bosses before I upgraded my spear.
How is that thing for aiming and firing? Slow start up?
Finally getting through all of the Chalice Dungeons and I'm loving the difficulty. Currently up against Ebrietas. It's funny, I beat her my first try on NG+ with this character, but the Chalice version is giving me more trouble.
I hated that. Jesus fuck my heart rate was through the roof during the try where I actually beat him.
It's simple on the surface but if you can't dodge his shit it's horrible. You're supposed to get up close to whichever end of him is lowest to the ground. While you do that he'll summon like piles of bones to fall on you. So you gotta hit and run a lot. If you get too far he shoots things at you. He'll also summon some like poison water to fill the arena floor. That's easy to dodge though just go behind the pillars. Careful though because while that's happening he'll try and shoot you. The last thing you wanna watch out for is his explosion thing. He summons a red energy ball above him. It won't shoot or drop things on you this one just expands. Easy to dodge and read but hardest to read IMO
Chikage +10. It's pretty good.
Watchdog of Old Lords in the Defiled chalice. I had to put on HP runes to be able to survive one missed dodge on the basic bit attack. I fucking hate this chalice dungeon. I just want to get to the Queen.
Bloodborne needs more funny comics like Dark Souls
>people complain about not being able to invade
>people don't realize the meta is 60-80
This ain't dark souls people stick to the meta and invade in NF or Cainhurst fuck even undead Chapel is good too
This is the last real hurdle, you'll make it anon.
While I'm sure they killed me a lot more, I preferred fighting Defiled Watchdog and Amygdala way more than fucking Loran Darkbeast.
Pretty boring fight. Reminded me of gaping dragon in terms of health, just hit his side with all the flailing smaller limbs, your rally should heal you up (not one of bloodbornes finer bosses to show off mechanics).
Using Ludwigs holy berserk blade and getting killed by that witch whore.
I'm getting better at dodging, at least.
The problem is the first time I fought the normal one I just cheesed him with Ludwig's/LongAxe (on my first playthrough) by out reaching his attacks. So it was way easier.
Amygdala will probably suck too at half HP.
I didn't even notice the bell maidens. I thought the fireballs were coming from the environment and just kept moving. Killed him first try but i was pretty overleveled. The guy is slow as shit just hop around and hit him until he dies.
Amygdala gave me way too much trouble because my only weapon that could reach its arms effectively was my Burial Blade+6, so I was only doing ~300 per hit. At least Amy has really easy to abuse AI.
I also felt like a complete retard when I learned that the jump attack it does only goes in front of it. For some reason I thought it would go anywhere, so I usually freaked out and got stomped on.
Working on a BoM skill/arcane build and I'm pretty disappointed, might just go back to my strength stake driver/wheel character. If I want to use someone else's chalice glyph do I need whatever materials I would've needed to make my own? I want to get beast claws asap
Well, something to look forward to!
I thought the jump stomp attack was random too, I just dodged to the side every time and thought I got lucky.
At least I have the timing down on the Watch_Dog bites now. Just need to learn not rush in and get flame-swiped now.
Using Ludwig's Blade +6, Kirkhammer +6, and Ludwig's Rifle +5. Running an all-around, average build. Darkbeast Paarl just kicked my ass for the third time, but I recently found out you're supposed to roll INTO his swipes so I should be good now. Shadow of Yharnam was probably my favorite fight so far.
I swear to god I have no idea where to go in the Forbidden Woods. There's fucking snake piles everywhere and I think I found a shortcut back to that windmill but it doesn't really seem to be a shortcut and I found a bunch of ayy lmaos as well but that only lead to a dead end.
EZ mode. There's an arch in his body that you can literally just stand under and hit him in. You have to run out occasionally, but then you can just run back in and do it all over again
>mfw that dirty old bastard Gehrman brutally fucked my beautiful pure Doll-waifu
Trying to kill Martyr Logarius at level 35, second character with SRONK weapons and it's not been going great.
This is the first time I've ever actually rung the beckoning bell and no one is fucking joining. Which is shitty because I've helped at least 10 other people beat this boss on my last character (and helped dozens more beat other bosses) so I feel like karmicly I've earned some damn help.
But naw it's been 30 minutes now and fucking nothing. But I can get summoned in a minute or less.
Does anyone else feel that moon presence spoiled the gehrman fight?
Gehrman was SUCH a good "final" boss fight. Having to fight moon presence after it just messed with the ending for me...even if it was "secret"
>Playing Bloodborne while my friend watches
>Decide that I don't want to be the kind of douche who makes my friend sit out the entire time
>Hand him the controller and tell him he's welcome to backtrack where I've already been
>He goes back to Oedon's Chapel
>I've already spoken to crow hunter lady enough times to trigger the event
>Crow hunter lady is fighting with that other hunter
>My friend is too shit at the game to know what he's doing
>Crow hunter lady gets fucking butchered
>I watch in horror as she dies
>Hunter then kills my friend
>That entire plot arc is now ruined for me because of my niceness.
The cutscene where it tries to eat you and fails was fucking awesome though. It's reaction of basically being "WHAT THE FUCK WHY CAN'T I EAT HIM?? I AM AN ELDER GOD AND THIS MORTAL IS RESISTING ME?? It was pretty cool
Go back to the river before the Ayy Lmaos. If you see one of those giant pigs, you're going in the right direction. But be ready, there will be 2 pigs, but you can manage to lure one out and have some time before the other notices you.
I hope you learned how to dodge the pig charge, anon.
Does she even have a pussy?
What kind of weird victorian Onahole are we talking about here? Some kind of fleshlight made out of sheep's intestines and boiled leather?
>Letting your friend play your save file in a game with no reloads
Anon you fucked up.
Yeah but it's not like wizard magic, it's weird lovecraftian monster shit.
>Up until you get 40 insight her pussy looks like a normal human hole
>In fact, it feels too good
>At 40 insight you can now see it's a horrific tentacle monster with an eyeball clit.
I have tried so fucking hard to get rid of the bitch too, but it's simply unparalleled in scaling. I went with STR and Bloodtinge like a retard at first, but then put some points into Arcane. This fucking sword scales better than Logarius' Wheel due to the fact that it takes skill and Arcane into account. Soft capped strenght? Fuck it, skill gives it 8 damage per point up to 25, then it soft-caps for the sword.
Plus the damn thing has a solid as fuck moveset. It has no weaknesses and it's a rape machine in PVP with that Arcane enchantment on it.
He's one of the easiest bosses, you really only need to watch out for his puddle of acid spit which drains your health SUPER FAST, and the "hitbox" lingers on for a few seconds even after you step out of the puddle, which is bullshit, it's the only real way you can die fightning this easy peasy boss.
He also occasionally summons a barrage of corpses to fall on your head, but a single drop does not really hurt a lot, but he will chain them like 3 or 4 times, so generally after you get hit by the first you have enough time to just dash in a random direction and you won't be hit by the subsequent ones.
also, heavy story spoilers:
I just realized the guy sitting on the chair after this boss is Micolash's dead body, and he is only really alive on his nightmare dimension, he is kept alive by the mensis cage and it's interaction with dreams, when you kill him in the dream he "wakes up" in the real wrorld, but since in the real world he is a faggot mummy, he ded.
BEWARE OF DARKNESS THEREFORE TIME FOR RUN.
Other than that she isn't that hard, just spam dash in case you get trapped in her walking blade combo, and also don't be fooled by her spin swing, she wiffs it in purpose to make you dodge too early so you will get hit.
If you manage to dodge her when she is doing the walking combo thing, you can stay perfectly behind her and drop all your stamina bar on the bitch's back.
Ive been dying to her clones
they keep spawning next to me
and when I run away I find myself trapped against a wall or a corner then I die
I've hit a few of the clones but the time limit that the dark purple lasts seems like forever
It increases the damage of that arcane enchantment. Which can't be used on the wheel and makes the sword just rape face. It's brutally good in PVP and it makes bosses a cakewalk.
Tonitrus a best
Run in circles, if you dodge the clone always spawns right in front of you.
There's a small circle surrouding the overall area, run around it's edge, it's too dangerous to try hitting the clone.
You could always try summoning, there's no real shame in that, you still get rekt if you don't learn her, she is a very "I HOPE YOU LEARNED THIS GAME FAGGOT".
If it makes you feel better, i felt her fight was harder than the final boss, but don't be let down by it, Final Boss is easily the best in all souls games.
So what is the meta?
Some say 80, others 100 and complain they don't get invasions at 100, but get more at 110.
Pls halp I just want to have a proper PvP character.
Niggers are awfully split.
I went with 75 at first to be in range. Had no luck in co-op or anything. Barely got invaded in NF and decided to go up. At around 100-115 I got invaded constantly at Cathredal Ward.
Then I went to 125 and I get an invader or two at Nightmare Fields.
Shit is just all over the fucking place.
>i felt her fight was harder than the final boss
is it bad that I'm level 95 and having problems?
I got her down to 15% one time and I died due to the clone spawning by me
so i just need to run around the area
;-; but her clone blocks me in the corner when I do that
>Tfw on my current playthrough Amelia bugged out and just stood there not doing anything and the game wouldn't let me leave the area.
It's my second favorite fight in the game too, kind of sad that it fucked up.
>if you dodge the clone always spawns right in front of you.
I dodged a ton in that fight, the clone always seemed to come from the side (in a position that's also easily dodgeable)
Just ended up dodge spamming when it was dark, then back to approaching the boss from behind once it's light again.
I tried, the bug itself is that I was spawned inside her fight even though I never challenged her myself on the playthrough. It happened after I did a bit of co-op of other people. Marks just put me back in the cathedral with Amelia in beast form just standing there.
>Blood Starved Beast
How do I kill this fucker?
That weapon is the be all end all. People call it the meme weapon for some amazingly retarded reason. But there's no better option for Str characters, or even mixes builds.
I have rarely encountered other players with it on PvP. Most fuckers go Chikage, Blades of Mercy or Threaded Cane. All inferior in speed and range to Ludwig's.
I am still making a secondary character with nothing but skill to whip niggas with the cane.
>Step back, charge R2 while it flaps his skin around. Wreck him.
>Side step and use the two handed R1 from its right.
>Parry that monstrously telegraphed right handed swipe it does.
>Use fire paper.
He's easy as fuck, save for when he glitches through a pilar, fucks up your camera and then goes spastic.
I'm level 50, and I've killed everything even Logarius, where do I go now? Rom? I want to make sure I don't close off any areas or anything by progressing the story.
Also how the hell do you get to the second level of the lecture building?
I've ignored these threads for a while in order to not be spoiled (though I kind of was with the ayy lamo's)
Just beat Rom and holy shit is this game spooking the shit out of me. I never asked for this straight out of lovecraft shit. I already had problems dealing with that one big bug thing in bygenworth.
At this point I'm going to have to actually call a co op partner or have a friend play with me to help me deal with this.
I assume it only gets worse.
I've killed more people using the ludwigs in pvp with my tonitrus than any other weapon
If anything more people's who don't know how to use other weapons use it
I personally enjoy the kirkhammer the scaling and stunlocking is absurd as well as the moveset for the sword I can get one roll in and stunlock for 7hits and I'm at 65 SL
People why use ludwigs aren't good with other weapons
I would use kirkhammer but the transforming attack from sword to hammer is terrible so you can't seamlessly combo between the two. And the stake driver charge attack is only a little longer and way more lethal, I use wheel the most with a strength build though, mostly because the moveset is fantastic
Progress through story and you will eventually reach Lecture Buidling 2nd Floor, you will also get a chance to face Patches Spider Edition.
Also, talk to Iosefka before doing Rom, to make sure she will drop the chord later, and if you want check if you saved all citizens, after Rom whoever you didn't find dies. Also make sure you helped Eileen kill Henryk.
I beat the Hot Dog. Now on half health Amygdala.
Can pretty easily get to the point where it rips its arms off. Then I'm having trouble getting head attacks in, or getting swiped when I try to run around to its side arms.
Those blue-eyed Wolves legit spook the fuck out of me, and don't even get me started on the mind-flayer zombies, holyshit that whole area is creepy, i had my heart pumping real fucking fast until i finally opened the golden door to the bridge.
It's the dev's fault that the casual filter is so far away into the game, after Gascoigne all bosses are kind of push-overs or broken, but none are simply well done like Wet Nurse.
But i gotta say Shadows of Yaharnam and Logarius are pretty fucking fun fights, always try to help someone on them to pass the time.
>Friend bitching about having trouble with the hunter chick right before Rom.
>Died like 4 or 5 times to her
>"Dude, she's like the hardest hunter I've met besides Djura"
>Get to her
>She kills me my first try because a note said "lure is effective" and I underestimated how strong the arcane shit was
>Get in her face
>Shot her a bunch to interrupt her casting
Besides me being underleved to Djura are there any hunters that pose a real challenge?
His legs take really reduced damage tho, but i think Amygdala is still easy because you can just leave him for last and he will be easy as fuck, Nightmare Frontier and Ebrietas were the 2 last things i did before going for
Hmm, I guess I could do that. I had an easy enough time doing it normally in the non-chalice version though.
Maybe I'll hack its legs once it goes to the slightly harder phase.
Gascoigne is hard because when your first fight him, you're not used to the fast-paced fighting that BB brings. And I certainly wasn't used to the parrying mechanic. When you go back and fight him in NG+ he is a pushover
I accidentally let eileen die
so I never fought the guy that killed her or the guy that if you keep eileen alive she fights at cathedral
but there were 3 or 4 hunters at hypogan gaol that kept wrecking my shit 3v1
after a couple of experiments I found a way to break them apart
the claw guy and spear guy are so close they come together no matter what
but the claw guy is faster so you can run further in the back alley to kill him 1v1, go back for spear guy
the whip was last at the bottom stairs
I want you to know that having white hair and pale skin, wearing the knight set and wig with the reiterpallasch makes you look like alucard.
Is she that one hunter in the plague mask I met in the beginning? Why haven't I seen her again? Do I have to go back an talk to her for initiate some shit?
I though she would have just appeared around like the church guy and I could follow up with her.
Fucking spam timer.
If you don't continue the storyline with Eileen, towards the end of the game she ends up in the Cathedral. I figured this out because it happened to me, and when you walk in she attacks you.
YOU become her mark
>NPC hunters get infinite ammo
>that one in the Gaol with the fucking cannon
>shit fires on a hair trigger with zero warning
I finally killed him, the last of the Yahar'Gul Butt-Buddies, but fuck From for NPC hunters.
How the fuck do you justify an enemy that has 3k health, hits harder than most enemies in their area, has infinite ammunition, and is allowed to fucking heal?
If they fight like hunters, heal like hunters, and riposte like hunters, they should at very least have comparable health. It should be like fighting an NPC black phantom in Souls, not fighting a fucking Drakekeeper with longer aggro range and more health.
I don't think I fought all of them, but I can't imagine any hunter encounter being as hard as the 3-man squad in Yahar'gul Chapel after you beat Rom. If they didn't stay dead when you die, I would have taken way longer to beat them.
there was one hunter I think he was near the outer Cathedral area with the other hunter that had the tornitus
anyway the non tornitus hunter had what I thought a fucking huge amount of health
>Agonizingly work my way through Cainhurst and up to Yahargul at level 35
>Upgrade Kirkhammer to +8
>Get summoned for Vicar Amelia and Blood-Starved Beast and wreck their shit
This is stupid and I love it
See I'd actually put Tonitrus guy as what the standard of NPC hunter should be. I felt like he had considerably less health, and at no point in the fight did I feel like he had infinite fucking stamina.
Almost beat Logarius on my first try
until he stun scythe locked me while I needed to heal
I parried him once but he parried me at the same time so I lost the animation plus attack
any tips on dodging the souls? I noticed he doesn't use it as much if you stun lock him
also he uses this AOE that seems like it has incredible range
Mine is normal
Level 65 getting my ass invaded every 2 seconds at the Nightmare Frontier.
Do people not co op like they did in Dark Souls? Or am I out of range for summoning? Maybe I'm underleveled because every enemy here is kicking my ass in one shot and the 2 hunters are charging at me like it's nothing.
But you can only enter this specific corpse's Dream, and he wears the same clothes Micolash is wearing. It can't be a coincidence.
>you touch the corpse and enter a nightmare
>Micolash is the host of the nightmare
>you enter Micolash's nightmare
I don't know why you would touch a random dude to enter Micolash's Nightmare, but it makes perfect sense that we interacted with Micolash's dreaming mummy body.
It seems like Micolash is the only one that "achieved" this dream state, since he is the one sitting in the that throne of sorts, it must mean that body is special.
>Jokers seem fairly common for BB. prolly for all the suit style outfits.
nigga just make a bullshit twitter account and tweet them to yourself.
>built in ruler so you can see how deep you are penetrating
oh lordy thank you based japan
So how do I co-op in dungeons with buddies? Can someone work through the steps for me?
well for one, the online in general sucks.
also, there's gimmicks to it.
for example, a certain covenant will, if you are in another covenant, spawn as hostile if you summon them for help. shit like that.
also, there are no co-op covenants. they are ALL pvp covenants
Head down to the swamp area and go to the right wall and go into a cave, moving up you come to a hole where she stands.
When you set out to be summoned or summon someone else you spawn her and she begins to spawn invaders. The Nightmare frontier is a pvp hotspot.
Game is great but upper cathedral and mensis infuriated me. I never ran through a level until mensis, fuck that. Cool boss though, his room really didn't look like a boss room so I went in with three vials and died but he doesn't seem too hard.
Sounds horrible. I was having fun with the game up until this point. I've died twice to the hunters and one time I went Insane.
Maybe I need to plan it out better.
I guess that's why. This is probably my least favorite area because I can't get 3 steps without being invaded. Stupid bullshit. I'm playing on a shitty blind first build. Just want to get through the bosses and story once.
>I never ran through a level until mensis
the best way to beat the area is to run until the door
because there is a secret area in the castle where you can take out the FRENZY inducing beast
new areas always infuriated me until I took the time to analyze my surroundings and learn from past mistakes
just keep trying different things
in the first phase of his life he will telegraph his moves.
When he Flourishes his staff he will down on of two things he will stab it in the floor and make the spirit bomb of which you can run around for a backstab if you're close enough and react quick enough. The other one is when he swings forward and shotguns you, dodge to the left and swing some more.
When he does not flourish but rears his staff back that means he will spawn a floating skull and jump back, then the skull will explode OR he will just point black explode skull. Anticipation is key so always be ready to dodge back or to the side.
The last one he will bring his scythe out to your left and after a second swing at you for a physical. That is when you parry him.
A tip for you. In that area if you run down the hill and get to the swamp hug the swamp left side while using antidotes liberally you can make it through to the area with the short cut. Then the boss is literally an elevator a way.
That place has one boss who is optional and nobody likes that area anyway. So you best chance is to run it and fucking kill the boss quick.
I think it's because there's another hunter there, you. If you were to leave the nightmare, it would cease to be. It's the whole point of the Hunter's Dream and the end sequence I'm pretty sure...as long as a hunter is present, the dream persists
Exactly, he is in a "Limbo" of sorts, because he is suck inside his own nightmare, but it's also his only way to stay alive because if he wakes up he is a mummy and instantly dead, i think the Mensis Cage keeps you alive in your dream after you die.
He probably sacrificed himself so Mergo could be born in his Nightmare, and it seems like many subjects came before him but he was the first to succeed in building a dream stable enough for the birth of a new Great One.
When you kill him in the dream, he goes back to the real world, and instantly dies because mummy.
There is a hunter tool you need to explore for deep within the area.
If you explore some and see a message that says something like "Miracle ahead" you'll know you've found the area. all you need is a good shove foward.
Well, shit. Guess I have no choice but to search this whole level. That swamp area is bullshit. Guess I need to stock up on antidote and not get frenzied.
Who at From thought this stuff would be fun?
was this game inspired by The Marquis?
No, if you die in the dream you wake up. Micolash wakes up in a dead body, so he ded. You only die for real if you can no longer dream, and it seems like the Mensis Cage is what normal men like Micolash use to dream, but since you take him out of it he ded for sure.
>tfw no volume ii even though he's been promising it since 2006
>What are you using
I switch between the Hunter's Axe, Tonitrus and Stake Driver.
>What's killing you
The guy in the Grand Cathedral for Eileen's quest and Martyr Logarius. I keep getting too aggressive with him.
Think of it like inception.
You are in a deep sleep along with others and the place you are fighting in isn't the true reality but it fits enough that those who go through it deem it as reality.
Only great beasts and those who reside outside of the dream can truly leave. When killed. This goes for the hunters you encounter like Djura and Eileen. And those whose bodies have long since withered away.like Micolash and Gehrman.
It becomes hard to separate the dream from the reality especially when you don't exactly know how you got there. But in the end Gehrman offers you a way out.
I finally beat her after 9 tries
thanks for your help
now I'm on Logarius 2nd attempt
beat 1st try
>witch of hemwick
until I realized you have to find the other hidden identical witch
>shadow of yharnam
grocery list: logarius, ayyy lmao 1 and 2, gehrman, ???
My interpretation is that every Hunter who actively participates on the Hunt is in the Hunter's Dream, only their own version of it. Look at the Hunter's Dream, there are a bunch of giant rock pillars in the distance. I think those are other Hunter's Dreams, where in each a Hunter is assigned, and Gherman watches and guides them all since Gherman is the Host of the Nightmare just like Micolash is the host of Nightmare of Mensis, that's why when you kill Gherman the Moon Presence makes you take his place; Now you are the host.
If a Hunter forfeits his cause, he stops dreaming and can no longer access the Hunter's Dream. Eileen became a Hunter of Hunters and as such is not contributing to end the source of the beasts, so she serves the Moon Presence no purpose, Djura forfeited hunting beasts altogether so he also can no longer dream, Alfred became obsessed with the Vilebloods and as such doesn't hunt anything but them, that's why he suicides, Gascoigne and Henryk became "blood-addled", so they succumbed to the beasthood, and so on.
Why not a zipper
Not too shabby.
Yea, this is exactly those stages. I have no urge to even step foot in the zone because of the shitty layout and poison. Micromanaging is one of the worst things about the souls games.
am I forgetting a boss?
omg forgot about her
I reached her shortcut so I finding her won't be hard
invested a lot into hp, thought I could survive the shortcut fall-INSTANT DEATH
ritual sudoku is killing yourself
The other hunters bitched out left the dream. Gehrman is essentially asking you if you're a bad enough dude to do what every hunter before you was unable to do: Kill him.
If you refuse you are a textbook pussy
Anything above 90 is horse shit, so don't bother.
You really should stop at 80 in my opinion, and fuck anyone who says otherwise. I beat NG and NG+ at 80, chalices included.
people need to just straight up learn to get good. The ONLY argument I've ever heard from people for past 80 is "hurrrr more VIT" which you shouldn't be getting hit in the fucking first place because this game literally gives you DMC level dodges.
I remember somebody shitposting the other night about how there was no art for Bloodborne because console players can't make anything.
The non-idort population buttfrustration about Bloodborne being PS4 exclusive makes me giggle.
>tfw turned on by Eileen the crow
why this? there's nothing outwardly sexy about her. i just..really like her
Honestly speaking, I think it's because a lot more girls are into souls games now.
Even if they don't play em, they still watch people that do and then draw based off that. It's weird, but meh, gives me shit to look at.
using an upgraded saw spear
fucking love its speed, i keep trying to use different weapons but they are about the same damage and a fuckload slower. I don't even unfold it to use it as a spear, i just use it as a saw.
Can't seem to beat Gehrman atm.
I got him down to a 1/3rd hp at one point when he goes fucking insane, and hit me to the ground then attacked me another 2 times while i was on the ground killing me.
Gherman offers you to resign of the Hunter duty. You will wake up as Yaharnam finally sees the daylight and you will be able to do anything you want, and you are probably cured of that disease your character is supposedly affected with. The next Night of the Hunt, you won't need to hunt a thing, you might even not be in Yaharnam, but if you wish to be you will be like Eileen or Alfred, you will bue mortal and die, no longer accessing the Hunter's Dream, unless you take another transfusion done by that spooky fellow at the beginning of the game.
Gherman is basically trying to help you out the only way he thinks is possible, possibly because he tried fightning the Moon Presence once and he got crippled and dominated by it(just like what happens to you in case you don't eat the chords), so he thinks no one is stronger than him in order to kill that thing.
For all you know, "waking up" and seeing the daylight could be dying and going to the after life. The cutscene even shows your grave. How do you know that going back to Yarnahm isn't the dream, and that the Hunter's Dream is the true reality?
god fuck why is doll so perfect
I want to run my hands through her hair
I want to caress her finger joints softly as she tells me she loves me
I want to lay her down and kiss her cute nose while slowly removing her shawl and petticoat
I want to rub my cheeks on the small porcelain mounds that are her breasts, as she looks down at me with a tiny fond smile on her otherwise unemotional face
god damn THE DOLL man.
find the pond with the fireflies, go down towards the pig, look for a watery spot with those sluggish ghoulies, there should be another pig in this area. Go into the narrow path leading into the mountain, on the right is a shortcut back, on the left is a boss.
"Molding and guiding"?
He just tells you "Yeah, just don't think about it, kill beasts." "Oh, by the way, find some chalices or something. They might help."
He tells you nothing important about what you're doing or why, barely explains how to be a hunter... why should I trust anything he says?
>The non-idort population buttfrustration about Bloodborne being PS4 exclusive makes me giggle.
Rooster Teeth did a "five facts" video about Bloodborne and the passive aggressiveness about it's exclusivity was off the fucking charts.
>Why don't I just make the same game again? It's totally different, you have a gun now. Only this time with tricorn hats.
>The PS4 is the only console that's identical to the other console we could make this game on.
>Why are the load times so long? Because of the PS4.
So I just died in Nightmare of Mensis and I came back for my Echoes but only found this. Any explanations?
Here's another pic. Floating light is on the right there.
The bloodstain system is wonky as fuck and inconsistent, occasionally giving echoes to enemies that are already dead or summons that haven't spawned.
I've had that happen before and it's bullshit. Your blood stain was picked up by some enemy but something happened, it glitched out, and now it belongs to an enemy that isn't there / doesn't exist / some dumb thing like that. You can't get your echoes back from it because there's nothing to kill that will get it back.
I've heard if you quit the game, come back and go to the Lecture Building your bloodstain will be there somewhere, though. I haven't verified this myself, though.
Roosterteeth is such unrelenting garbage most of the time, it doesn't surprise me.
It's a relatively common bug related to enemies that don't respawn. The games pathing thinks the enemy is still there, so it had the nonexistent enemy absorb your echoes.
Can someone explain to me what exactly Vileblood covenant is for? I got the rune from queen yesterday, but didnt equip it yet, since it cant be removed, so I would be stuck in that specific covenant.
I mean if I equip the rune and ring small resonant bell do I go to other peoples worls as a co-operator or invader?
Everything between Rom and Reborn is Izalith tier terrible trash.
>make a game where combat against multiple enemies is lame shit
>make an area designed around multiple large packs of enemies
>also these enemies all respawn if you don't run through them first to kill one specific enemy
>also lol how about 3 hunters that are at least 10x stronger than you with infinite ammo that read your inputs?
He doesn't need to.
A hunter must hunt. It's all very subtle in the scheme of things sending you to find a chalice so you can see what the beast plague had wrought. You become more and more invested in "What's all this fucked shit about" that you're actively trying to see what you can do to help. You descend the Heal Church's work shop and the find the first workshop and some notes about the nightmare and stuff.
10 runs of mensis will net you 500k easy
Just run up form the middle loft, passed the three shadows, Buttstab the pick to death, aggro the next two and make them attack the four shadows. 50k when they kill each other and you pick off the stragglers.
If the Hunter that you rang the bell for is an Executioner, you will appear as a purple Phantom and be hostile, and the same goes for an Executioner joining a Vileblood world. No one seems to know what makes one Blood-Addled in order for them to be hunted by Hunters of hunters yet.
Yeah much like the first Dark Souls the endgame is shit, Yahar'gul is horrible and so is Nightmare of Mensis's lower part, although the upper part with the Shadows of Yharnam look-alikes is pretty decent, then it becomes shit again with the mother brain bullshit.
Yahar'gul is the low point of the game, definetely, at least the boss is a cakewalk and the walkback to it is almost non existant when you learn of the elevator/bath tub shortcuts.
Also, Cainhurst is too small, thought it would have lasted more but you can reach Logarius in like 10 minutes, at least it's good quality and the boss, although hard, is fun and one of the most well made ones.
Yahar'gul is annoying as shit but it's basically just Catacombs 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Except the bell-maidens respawn when you die and fuck that. That fucking sucks.
Those hunters are fucking bullshit, also. Fuck them.
>then it becomes shit again with the mother brain bullshit.
You essentially drop motherbrain and get a free blood rock though. With the franzy resist rune you can easily kill the singing balloons before they can frenzy you.
Catacombs is actually a fitting annalogy, it just simply sucks, but all they needed to do to fix this area would be to remove the infinitely spawning motherfuckers or at least make the bell-maidens stay dead much like necromancers in Dark Souls, in my second playtrhough instead of exploring i just went straight to the elevator shortcut as soon as i could, fuck that shit.
>>also lol how about 3 hunters that are at least 10x stronger than you with infinite ammo that read your inputs?
I died once, and the next time I ran downstairs, locked myself in a cell and poked them all to death through the bars.
Fuckers got out skilled.
But yeah, Bloodborne has some legitimate stupid fucking moments, like any Souls game.
Alright so I need help understanding chalice dungeons. I have pretty much beaten the game without actually beating it. Ive killed every boss and cleared every area. Im at Gherman but dont want to initiate the fight because I know the game will end if i do.
now I started and completed two chalice dungeons. I have three golden chalice cups that i can use. They all start with pthu... something something. The first one I did had me kill an undead giant as the last boss. The second one i did had me kill a big fire dog.
but thats it. How do I get other chalice cups? I cant seem to find harder dungeons to explore. I have two more cups that I cant use at all. One looks like a rotten apple and another like a skull but the items required to start those rituals Ive never even seen before. One of those cups requires like 50 arcane something parts when I've never even seen one. Im seriously confused. There is literally nothing else for me to do in story mode. I know there is shit im missing out on in the chalice zones which is why I don't want to fight Gherman yet. How do I access these fucking Dungeons.
Every time I hear about strategies like this or running into an elevator pit and having them follow I just get upset that I didn't think of it myself. Fighting them legit was just stupid of me, I'm not even proud.
By the way, speaking of Logarius, what the fuck is goin on with him? When i first fought him i thought he was a hollow or some shit, he looks so much like Vendrick in his boss fight, anyone got any lore on why he is all hollowed out? Is it supposed to be a connection to Dark Souls?
Also why the fuck was he protecting the godamn queen of the vilebloods if his band o executioners literally swore to hunt and kill every vileblood ever? Was he mindfucked?
Apparently the crown of illusions comes with built in "eyes" which allows you to see through illusions. Possibly he found that the cause he had been working for "The Pale Blood" was in actuality worse off than the beasts and therefore came to a stalemate in which he would neither work against the vilebloods nor work for the executioner.
He sits and watches from his throne, the infinite cosmos above as he finds that there is little that a human can do over "beasts" and "gods".
E-pen, i think it only makes your name show up in the vileblood rankings, but it doesn't matter anymore anyways because fuckers used the dupe glitch to have absurd amounts of blood dregs.
So how do I get to Cainhurst? I already beat the game once without finding the way to it, but I can still look for it while doing NG+.
I also really, really like this picture.
Iosefka's Clinic you get a cainhurst summon.
Go to the Hemwick lane area where there are three axe guys and a bunch of wolves. Walk near the big blue stone for your pimped out ride.
Reach Iosefka's Clinic through the back, to do this go to Forbidden Woods and in that area with the dogs inside cages, look for a cave entrance to the left. Go forward through the poison river and find a ladder that climbs you back up to Yaharnam, where you may find Iosefka(it's advised to not go near her room before Rom as you may screw yourself out of an umbilical cord) and the Cainhurst summons by the right end of the corridor you drop in.
Then go to the final part of Hemwick Lane, the one after the iron gate close to the boss fight, walk towards the big pillar in the middle of the are and suddenly Cainhurst.
You know that area where you had to fight the witch bitches?
It's called Hemwick Charnel lane on the Central Yharnam Stone. It's literally dwon the hill from the twin witch boss fight building.
Ive gotten to the end of the fire dog. Im guessing thats the first chailce zone
so like I said I have three cup now (that I can use). But no matter which cup I do a ritual one I keep getting thrown into the same dungeon with the same level three type bosses. I'm not getting any more new cups. I have Pthumeru Chalice cup. Which is where i fought the fire boss. Pthumeru Root Chalice which i also completed and Central Pthumeru Chalice which I also have done. All these are the same dungeons with the same enemies and endings. Ive done each one like twice and I cant get more cups. Im so confused by this shit.
He wasn't protecting the Queen, he was keeping anyone from discovering her. If you remember, the Queen was hidden behind an illusion that only the crown could dispel. He realized that the Queen was truly immortal, so instead of wasting his effort trying to kill her, he decided to lock her up and keep watch for eternity.
>patches the faggot spider hiding behind some door
>fuck you you eight legged balding faggot spider
>run around the fucking school or someshit
>oh look its that faggot spider on the wall
>look up and throw a pebble
>he falls off
>can't find his corpse
>humanity thing on the floor
>assume he's dead
>turns back up later
??????????????? did the game glitch or does that fall just flat out not kill him
The tonsil stone is a key item in forwarding the game. When Amygdala or whatever grabs you if you're holding the tonsil stone you get transported to Mensis or whatever instead of dying
My dad just bought a PS4 and Bloodborne
Now I can spend a week on the only good game the console has to offer and then never touch it again, leaving me to go back to being an xbone/wiiU/3DS/PC master race, and I didn't have to waste my money.
He tells you what to do with it. You go to the area to the right of the Grand Cathedral and stand in front of the door in the big circular room with the large burnt-out fire-pit in the middle.
I LOST FOUR HOURS OF PROGRESS ON MY THIRD DUDE BECAUSE I ACCIDENTLY DOWNLOADED MY CLOUD DATA INSTEAD OF UPLOADING
I'M SO FUCKING MAD
>use beckoning bell in Unseen Village
>two guys come to help
>we run to the good squad
>they both literally die within 10 seconds
>good squad all basically full health
>kill them by myself
Sometimes I wonder if I'm really just good or people are really just retarded
>What I'm using
Rifle spear since halfway into the game. I'm really into the charging and timing attacks with that thing, plus the transformation/shooting attack is really cool.
>What's killing me
Main storyline, nightmare of menis, the goddamn boulder tossers. Those rocks hit me and I'm fucked, and baiting them isn't working because they only continue to throw rocks. It wouldn't be an issue if they were closer together. And every time I die to them, I have to deal with those crazy wolf men, their worms and the frenzy bullshit all over again.
As for optional bosses, I'm having a bit of a tough time with Ebrietas. She's the only optional boss I've got left, but she hits really hard.
>Says to look for a "shrouded church" or some shit
>Everything in this game looks like a "shrouded church" to me
I'm so frustrated with my inability to recognize landmarks and locations in this game. It takes some serious pondering when reading the directions that people are giving me in these threads. I should just kill myself.
Sometimes I just get unlucky. I was summoned in the forbidden woods today and killed every single mob from the Lantern to the three amigos without getting hit.
I then got flame sprayed double teamed by two of the amigos and died instantly through the fog door.
currently using the ludwig holy sword +3 and a stake driver +6, stuck in the first chalice dungeon being grinded into dog food for that fucking flame watch dog. are you even supposed to go there? i got the chalice right after i killed the towel head dog
>the best final boss out of all the souls games
>one of the best fights period.
>not intense or hard
Amelia and BSB are ez mode. Beat them first try. Gascoigne I admit was hard, but it really is more of a skillcheck to see if you know how to parry. Beat him first try on NG+
German was still a challenge. He's extremely aggressive and can be frustrating to stun. Plus dat soundtrack.
Just beat the game.
Gehrmanwas really fun to fight, just wish he'd had a wee bit more aggressive phases.
Decided to finish off Ebrietas before I finished, because fuck fighting her on NG+. FUCK Ebrietas. Way too fucking big for these camera angles.
that is correct however, when it becomes elemental, arcane is the only scaling that applies on it, which in turn makes the sword weaker as if it was neutral and still scaling with both STR and SKL.
Fire/bolt paper are not hard to get hold of so making a weapon elemental is not a wise move IMO.
>just wish he'd had a wee bit more aggressive phases.
After fighting many bosses with hyper-aggressive-never-stop-attacking-no-openings-ever phase, I'm so fucking relieved Gehrman was how he was. It was incredibly refreshing and actually felt like a tense fight rather than one that pissed me off.
It's fun but Go into the chalice dungeons for Beastclaws.
Later in the game you get a cannon that you can use to fuck up most things. If you play your cards right you get 4 shots out of it.
I thought the shrouded church was one of the two buildings with NPC lanterns. I didn't think the huge building before the unseen village would be the actual place.
I was probably thinking about checking that, but then I figured "Wait, 'to the right' of the Grand Cathedral? Maybe it meant the Grand Cathedral's right. Not *my* right!". So I kept going in the opposite direction looking for a church until I got my Rune Workshop Tool. At that point, I forgot all about the tonsil stone.
I do 710 or so damage to bosses, then I apply the arcane enchantment and see the damage go to 790-810. In pvp the pure physical damage seems to be rather low, and once the enchantment comes on they get absolutely destroyed. Almost as if I had an entirely different weapon at that point.
The point is moot, though, since it beats out any other weapon in the game for my character and its mixed stats. Considering making a more straightforward build for beast claws or threaded cane.
>summoning people to help
>implying you will ever be good at this game
That arcane enchantment form the shell is static and adds a base to your damage that doesn't scale with Arcane. It does change the entire damage being output I think. Not many arcane defensed armors.
Really? I thought the damage went up by a bit when I increased my arcane. Guess it makes sense that it's static.
The one thing I've noticed in PVP is that getting gems from chalices is a must. Nothing more satisfying than taking two hits like it's nothing and seeing your enemy die to the same amount. Almost makes me feel like Twinking is back.
I have to admit I was pretty heartbroken when I sent Gascoigne's daughter to the chapel, saw she wasn't there, then found the blood soaked red messenger ribbon on the pig. I sent that little girl to her death.
Is it possible that if I killed the thing BEFORE sending her to the chapel, she could have survived?
Questions about Rom
1) How am I actually meant to dodge those ice missiles? No matter what I do, I still occasionally get hit. I try locking and dodging to the sides, dodging forward and back, no lock rolling and even running in one direction
2) How can I actually attack Rom in phase 3? He just goes full bitch mode and spams his three magic attacks, forcing me to move away. When he's not being a magic bitch he's swinging himself all over the place so I can't even safely attack him
3) Is there a quicker way to deal with the spiders other than wait until they attack and kill one by one
>What are you using
+10 Tonitrus, +9 Arcane Stake Drive, +9 Fire Ludwig's
Currently grinding chunks for my Rosmarinus.
>What's killing you
Those fucking firebreathing dogs in the Chalice dungeons. Those fucking things have retarded amounts of poise for how fast and nimble they are.
If you want honesty: literally the only ending for her that's even sort-of good involves taking the music box and never talking to her again. She just disappears from the game and that's it. Every single other option ends with her death.
1. Sprint directly at him as soon as he raises his tail, do not stop or slow down worked for me every time.
2. Patience, I found that circling him in a 3 meter radius would bait out the spell that would raise the magic from the ground which I would then dash in and get a good 2 hits in before doing it again.
3.You can kill rom in phase 1 without even killing a single spider using the flamesprayer
+8 Ludwig's sword
Dying to the wetnurse. I actually only died once after I got lazy once she hit 50% health. But she was only doing one attack... I think I may have accidentally triggered the memory leak glitch. Is she supposed to do more than flail blades in front of her? Because otherwise her fight is pretty lame...
Just killed Rom
What the fuck is going on here? Why does everything dissapear when they die and keep respawning? Why do they make exploding sounds when they die?
WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING
It's pretty fun. To be honest. even at 40 Arcane, the damage of your spells is pretty underwhelming for the amounts of bullets they use, since you don't have a Bone Marrow Ash equivalent, but they have some good utility. I mostly enjoy it, because it actually feels like you're this savvy expert hunter with a fuckload of differernt equipment for every circumstance. You're never really using just one playstyle.
1) Dodging the ice missiles from the sky is a bitch but it's slightly easier to do you run / roll towards Rom with a slight angle to the left or right. The ones from the ground, just walk away from Rom. Really, you should try to stay close to Rom so he does the sky-missiles less often.
2) Just poke him and avoid his AOEs. His attacks all have pretty obvious tells. It may take a little while but if the spiders are dead it should be relatively safe.
3) You can run around the back of spiders that aren't actively engaged with you. Quick strikes are best. I was using the cane for them and killed each of them in two quick hits.
Shut up, just let it happen.
When you progress too far.
The only thing keeping the people safe is the incense lanterns you see hanging above their windows or doors. I'm guessing she was running out of it by the time she asked you for a safe place.
First GIlbert and now her. This fucked world we live in!
>What are you using?
Rifle Spear +6/Threaded Cane +6/Flamesprayer +6/Ludwig's Rifle +4
I literally only use guns for enemies I need to counter. Halberd mode charged R2 is stupid. I kill a vast majority of enemies with just that, and because of how far you lunge all I need to clear an area are pebbles and that.
Considered ditching the cane, but when I wasn't using it I decided to pump Arcane. So now I'm focused on Skill, Endurance, and Arcane. Then I checked the cane and saw it has decent arcane scaling.
I'm not far because I sucked hard for the first few bosses and I don't have much time to play with how busy work is but now I'm doing really good and I beat the first darkbeast with him only getting a single hit in for the whole fight, which lasted about a minute.
This game is the best thing I've played in a long time.
