Which is why after playing the game he decided to make a newcomer with unique mechanics instead of just putting Chrom in as the boring option, and also put in an FE:A alt costume that was later elevated to a clone. I've never ever played a FE game, but the fans are amazingly obnoxious about how much they hate the 3DS one.

Smash fans typically fall into 2 groups, people who care about playstyles, and people who care about characters. I care for the character more.. why they couldn't add him in as a skin to appease his fans is so strange to me. It would affect nothing.

Personally I'm torn between Ike and Marth as who he'd be a better fit for. Chrom's more swift like Marth, but Ike's body language fits Chrom more... either would do

Dude has ridiculous growths and an unlimited use sword that gets bonus damage like 30% of the enemies you fight in the first half of the game. He's easily one of the best units in the game. Hell, on higher difficulties all you need to do is run him through Paladin to get his Res up and Aegis and he's set for the high end DLC as long as he's got a good support buddy.

You're right. Even though fighting style wise he probably matches Marth more, it just wouldn't look right with the more graceful swings.

To be honest, I've always imagined Chrom playing like Cpt. Falcon with a sword. Really aggressive, swift, rushdown type character, with obvious power behind his moves. Even if he is a sword user, I think he'd make an interesting moveset..


.. but at this point, that's pretty much discussing a moot point. If he miraculously makes it in as DLC, great, but I wouldn't bet on it.

In my game he fell off the second he became a great lord, started getting 2-3 stats per level and quickly becoming my most fragile and least damaging team member. He was absolute trash up until the final fight when the plot demands him to be awesome.

You're obviously playing him wrong. I don't know how you fucked up a unit with great STR SKIL and SPD to boot who also naturally learns some of the best skills in the game.

Like, fuck, hes got an unbreakable sword that grants bonus damage against one of the most common enemy types, Aether and Luna which activate 24/7 with Rightful King, and a huge DEF buff upon reclassing. His only flaw is his SPD cap isn't the best, but it's still high, and has a large growth rate.

Can somebody tell me why Lucina mad it in but not Chrom?
