Yes, that would be a good date to know which studio will animate it. But i think that they will wait the end the NTR anime to begins promotion of the Citrus.

More probably animation staff in the issue of september for a PV in october or november. In september, there will be probably the last chapter of the actual arc.

So volume 8 published maybe in november or december. Many chances that Citrus will be on hiatus in the october or november issue of YH like usual when the author prepares the release of her new volume.

Yeah, but since the volume 7 was delayed because of the extra stories and bonus chapters that needed to be completed. I wouldn't be surprise that november or december are the new target.

But seriously, I think she's just getting used to it more. I was the same way in my first serious relationship. I spent so many years never being hugged, kissed, held and snuggled my body would stiffen or i'd find myself pulling away awkwardly. But over time I got used to it. Now that it's gone it's all I can think of and I miss it so badly I hug my pillow and cry myself to sleep some nights.

I dunno, guys. I know Mei is a smart girl and very aware of the world and stuff but would she even know HOW to make to love to Yuzu at that point? It'd probably be very awkward and terrible, so yet another reason why it was good Yuzu stopped it. Not to sound pretentious but, I don't think Mei would probably have lived an empty life without Yuzu but since Yuzu entered her life, she's managed to get her out of a loveless marriage, bridge her relationship back with her father, helped her manage her life goal of the School Chairman duties or whatever it is she's going to inherit and...made her genuinely, truly happy in a way that not even her Himiko could have done because if Yuzu didn't exist I can't see Himiko having ever defrosted Mei and loved her as much as Yuzu does.

I don't want to say Yuzu saved Mei, but god damn, she definitely brought colour to Mei's world, and will continue to do so.

I feel the same time to time. You should try writing. When I had different longings in the past, I realised that writing helped with it very much. It kind of smoothed things out for me and made me feel a little detached from my situations. For me at least, fictions were better than confessions.

I had an idea for a yuri story. But when I think of it I think it'd be a bit experimental. Like, it would be written in a way where it might pass for normies but it'd be heavily geared toward Japanese manga and yuri fans.

The idea I had is a story set in America, probably the west coast in 1983 and it's a bit of an opposites attract story in similar vain to Citrus but way different in a lot of ways.

The drama and everything would be turned up a notch, there'd be a lot of old movie and tv show references and slice of life bits.

It's something i've had in mind for years now though, based on characters I drew in high school.

But it's so hard to get all of these scenes in my head down on paper without it feeling stiff.

I'm doing a lot of writing practice. Just like chapters of freeform stuff, each one a self contained scene or story. I'm writing out scenes i've played out dozens of times in my head.

I'm just trying to get used to it. I'm a bit of an amature. But i'm sure I can knock out a full length novel or two.

The way i'm trying to do it now is kinda like you say. I try to get into a characters head when I write them which is super easy for the two main characters since i've been fleshing out their personality for years.

One of my biggest things is though I have like a hundred different scenarios about how they end up getting together, how they get caught or come out etc. I changed the period from 2017 to 1983 a few months ago and it's changed a lot about the story and characters and the entire way I handle their relationship.

It's not the fist story i've wrote and put online. I wrote a short story I ended up not being happy with because my editor at the time (A friend of mine.) rushed it out. I learned some valuable lessons though.

There's another yuri story I have in mind about Gaia, the spirit of the earth and it's like Dragon Ball Z with goddess lesbians, titanic fights, exploding solar systems and pure lesbian love.

I miss the times when the chapter used to be out 2 days before the date. I am so curious to see what will happen

From what i understand, Mei joked about the beds, saying "let's have one bed". She is, again, too shy and sends mixed signals to Yuzu, saying she jokes (but i think she was half serious about it).

Yuzu was a boss here. She did not flatter and took the reins with the passionate kiss.

Mei's resistence weakens more and more.

Sadly, no onsen scene for Mei and a kiss out of camera. Next chapter, Mei will have to deliver this time, the cover of this chapter was a little misleading ... let's hope it announce what will happen in the end of this summer arc.

I do not agree. Mei is on the breaking point to sort out what she feels. Yuzu is determined to do a physical and emotional connection, even though she has to force it.

There is a chapter left to close the arc. So the best is yet to come. All third chapters of Citrus's arc are not resolution chapters.
Remember the "kiss" : chapter 8, end of volume 2.
The rings : chapter 24, end of volume 7.
So for me, expected chapter. And it is nice to have other characters developped here.

Mei, as the "push and pull" specialist she is to hide her shyness and fragility, is lying when she tells Yuzu she joked about sharing only 1 bed.

Atfirst, Yuzu is baffled but she clearly saw through Mei's game. Before, she was oblivious of Mei's mixed signals which was a great source of facepalming among the fans.

Here, she progressed. She calls Mei is liar because she noted she was red like a tomato even though she turned her back. So, she cornered Mei with a more agressive attitude and a memorable kiss.

Their arc was annoying for me, because it was yet another love rival appears to cause drama. At least Shiraho wasn't a real rival and became part of the main group afterward. Seriously, i know that there are Mei's fans here. She is fragile, complex .... Ok. I have never been among those that called her an autist. I really thought she had progressed a lot and almost became waifu material.

But she royally fucked up in this chapter. She told Yuzu to try the kiss once a day, and after that ... cold shoulder all the rest of the day. She ignores Yuzu and jokes (i know, yeah, it's not really a joke) about the sleeping situation.

And she almost made Yuzu cry. What a relief to see that Yuzu stept her game and easily came back from her shock.

I would have prefered the summer trip as the end, since it is a perfect anime ending with all the gang reunited and a final with a happy end and slice of life atmosphere.

Mei always needed that friend character but she was never handled well for that. She spends most of her free time alone when she isn't with Yuzu which is annoying and sad as hell. She could have at least had a friendly enough relationship with Himeko.

I don't understand your complains on Sara/Nina and Himeko. Sure, they aren't crucial characters, but all of them have had roles to play, which they've done really well.

Though Sara/Nina didn't become recurrent characters, they still spiced up things and made things move faster, since Yuzu wasn't sure about what she wanted to do, but upon meeting Sara she managed to change for the better faster than she would have otherwise.
Also, in Sara/Nina's case, much like in real life, not all people you meet that have an impact in your life will become part of your everyday. Some will just be there with you for a while and then you'll go separate ways.
Sara and Nina played both roles.

In Himeko's case, she's there along with the Grandfather to show Mei also has people she's close to. Had that role been limited to her grandfather it would show Mei has absolutely no friends, but Himeko is there to show she's got at least one devoted friend. Perhaps, Himeko's desire for Mei was unnecessary for the plot, but in the early stages at least it showed Mei's reaction for her best friend was not the same to show she reacted to Yuzu's advances.

I think most people who found that arc frustrating were people who read it by the time that arc was being published. This is important, because that arc came after Matsuri's arc which involved huge drama and the arc itself started after some drama between Mei and Yuzu, in which Yuzu didn't play along with whatever Mei wanted to do.
So, I think the frustration stems not from the arc itself, but from the things that preceded it, which made people frustrated since the original drama didn't get resolved until the end.

Speaking about Sara. Since chapter 19 was translated by an anon (there is mistakes if we compare with Seven Seas' one), did Sara really thought that Mei and Yuzu played the spanking game ... ?

The umbrella mention is not here, but in the Seven Seas one, the butt mention is forgotten, just "hit with an umbrella", so the double meaning (ecchi undertones) of Yuzu's totally innocent sentence is lost. Seing Sara's blush, it must have some lewd connotations hence the quiproquo that creates a comical scene.

If Chaosteam translate the chapter 19 when they have time, that would be interesting to know because this chapter has so double-meaning speeches that many things seem to have been lost in translation.

I think that arc was more about Harumin's family and introducing characters like her sister and Nene. They were needed to set up for the summer trip arc.

Well, it lacked romance (but the arc after this one was the date and the rings one so it is ok). But, i liked this arc because it shows how Yuzu affected people's lives around her, especially Harumin's one and Nene's one.

She helped patching things between Haru and Mitsuko, she earned respect for standing for her ideals and i think that Nene was included to express what Mei's likes in Yuzu without being able to verbalize it.

Nene's speech to Mei is very enlightening concerning Yuzu's impact on others.
