The other novels after Restart are not formatted like Unmarked, so it doesn't following the "killing game" theme throughout the whole series, per se. Limited is where things really begin to derive and pick up. It's the best arc in my opinion, and I think a lot of people agree.

Restart: The magical girls get sent to a VR RPG death game and have to kill the one known as "the Demon King" to escape the game.
Limited: Magical girls are trapped within a magic barrier in a city for 24 hours that prevents them from escape in pursuit of a hidden assassin.
JOKERS: Magical girls are sent to investigate rumors of man-made magical girls and end up in a horror/mystery movie scenario.
ACES and QUEENS: An all out political war between two major factions of the Land of Magic.

No, in the proper translation, Clamberry did indeed say that Winterprison made her feel like a maiden in love. Plat translated it to some other shit that I can't even remember so you may be a bit confused on that but yes, Clamberry actually did have feelings for Winteprison. It's not a mistake.

As far as Ruler and Winterprison, it was in a sidestory that Ruler looked at Winterprison (as Shizuku) and said she wanted a good looking lover like her. Can't recall which sidestory it was, I think it was like a bonus extra or something along those lines.

It's not a few paragraphs in a book, it's a few paragraphs per CHAPTER. People can go through two different languages and still be more accurate than him. Google Translate is more accurate than him. What you are reading is fanfiction which happens to resemble the original.

As for how fucked up JOKERS is, he basically left out a character's fate from the epilogue, and in the Prologue he already left out the whole reasoning behind Pfle and Shadowgale doing what they did. The /a/ team hasn't even started a full-bore retranslation yet and I can tell you that much.

He admits he did it from memory, and this is proof that he has Alzheimer's.

Finding out the differences between Plat's version and the real version of Limited for the first time was absolutely horrific, honestly. It's been months since the whole thing was unveiled and I still can't believe how he managed to fuck up as much as he did, my obvious bias aside, since my best girl and OTP got the brunt of his butchering and I'm prone to be 100% more pissed that way.

If anything positive can be said, I'm just thankful I got to read the actual story as it was intended because of the re-translation. It made me love Limited that much more too.
