Like the other anon says, you can easily cheat if you're using an emulator. You could use real cheats and max out your stats, or you can just abuse save states so that you never die, and use turbo mode so you don't spend nearly as much time running around in dungeons. If you can tolerate reading at somebody else's pace, watching a playthrough might not be a bad idea though.

Good thing about English FGO, it has all the updates that FGO Japan got over a year.

Expanded inventory, being able to feed more than a handful of XP cards at a time, updated sprites and NP animations for some of the Servants (like Saber), gatcha cost reduction, game features like Palingenesis that were implemented later in JP version.

The thought had crossed my mind they might try to charge the original 40 quartz, but the game would have probably been dead on arrival if they did.

Like that other anon I pulled Tamacat from my first summon along with Imaginary Number Magecraft (NP charge essences seem to me as the best way to get Betserkers to use their NP before they get taken out)

Other than her I just got Kiyohime, Boudica, and whatever Servants I get from Friend Point summon while I save quartz. Got about 150 now

With that combo I pretty much sailed through story mode and now I'm just doing dailies and completing master missions

Getting ascension items seems to be even more of a pain in the US version since that the daily farming quests aren't class-specific

Probably right, though I'm not entirely sure if we're going to get events in the same order. Only issue I have is that in JP version I somehow ended up with hundreds if golden apples (from server maintenance compensation I think) so I never had any issue farming event item... not sure about now.

Best use of 1/2 ap is probably to just keep farming exp cards. They always drop and you get decent master xp out of it too

Haven't tried the QP dailies, since I got enough and I think the only thing that really uses up a ton of it is Palingenesis.

The problem with the item dailies is they actually seem more likely to drop QP than ascension or skill up items. As far as I know only the last battle is guaranteed to drop anything at all... so not really the most efficient.

I don't know. The ending of Herz is one of the most romantic things I've ever seen. That Miyu's monologue about Illya was beautiful. She really loves her. The feelings between the girls are so strong and genuine.

You could not make F/SN with Rin as a protagonist without completely missing the point of the story and what actually makes it a working narrative. While she has depth, she lacks the kind of drive that you need for the protagonist of this kind of story. A story about Tohsaka Rin would need a different set of circumstances, events, and characters to the point where it would not be recognizably F/SN.

If you really wanted to try to make a yuri F/SN, you would need a female Shirou, which would be possible but still a little clumsy without some edits to the script.
