A yuri romance manga which has lasted longer than 3 volumes (a rarity). Running in a monthly magazine and translations aren't miles behind.

The art style is clean and well drawn. The story is easy to follow.

It has been careful to avoid things like having potential male love interests that worry yuri fans. It's low on conflict or bad things being thrown at the characters. It isn't making a big deal of things like fashion or makeup.

It has found a way to have one girl confess fairly early (and have the girls kiss), and still keep the tension of whether they'll properly become lovers, without making that about the other girl being concerned about them being both girls.

So it's easy to see why it would be popular on /u/ and I think it's the easiest to recommend of currently running yuri manga.

Having said that, I don't think it's an especially interesting or exciting manga or one that I find moves me much.

"You will grow up to be yourself eventually" is what the title means. Literal translation is thus "Eventually, you will become yourself."

What Maki did wasn't in the public eye like documentaries or news though. Someone who peeks through a window of a closed room isn't an intellectual reporter. He caught two girls kissing and then spent the next day following Yuu with his eyes while sporting a creepy look on his face. Then he confronted her about it so he could confirm what he saw and enjoy the spectacle of her secret love life. It may not be full blown stalking but it still has a high creep factor.

Because it's not on a niche magazine like Yuri Hime, so it gets more exposure.
There's also a fact that was explained in that yuri round table thing a bunch of editors did a few days ago: YagaKimi's central drama deals with the rather universal issue of "being loved but not being able to love back", which also helps in not alienating potential readers. It doesn't rely on things like all-girls schools or bullying, so you could theoretically change everybody's genders at random and the story would stay the same.

I hate the random bolding and those careless mistakes above, but I have to say at least they mostly got it right, and it's still better than the ihoshiku translations.

I'm still thinking about whether to give Seven Seas a chance for the second volume but judging from the other posts about how they did Citrus, I'm not optimistic that they'll improve.
