Another thing is, you still seem to look at the issue with black and white terms.
It's different if someone lies about something while thinking it's not a big deal and they aren't doing anything wrong and it's different when someone knows they are doing something they shouldn't but find themselves in a complicated situation.

In any case, this argument is pointless, since I never implied she should cheat or lie (even though I absolutely wouldn't consider that OOC if someone wrote a piece in which she does)

I can, based on what we know about her. Which is what makes up her "character". As more information about her gets introduced, I might change my opinion (just like in the beginning we were told that Widow felt no remorse about her actions, but then they added a couple of voice lines and that panel in the comics, indicating the opposite).

Not really. You have enough information to assume Tracer would have intervened when she saw someone was being bullied or that she would be happy if her friend had something nice happen to them.
You don't have enough information to assume what Tracer would do if she found herself in a love triangle.

Yet the author is still the one who wrote both chapters and their job is to present a coherent, logical plot, consistent with its own self. There's no "well the reader needs to suck it up", that's called bad writing and can be criticized. So yeah when author presents a piece of information about character's personality and then contradicts it providing no explanation, they too can be rightfully called out of making their characters act out of character.

What difference does it make? Modern pilots probably don't do that, since planes aren't usually assigned to one specific pilot each, especially carriers. But OW is an organization with a different structure than modern army, so it might be possible that Tracer was the dedicated pilot for that aircraft.

Who "diversifying their Tracer portfolio" here? I want to get this all in before Q1 2017. Winter 2017 is mighty dry on the /u/ front so I'mma be dependent on vidya to keep the juices flowing.

Widowtracer index has taken a bit of a licking but I imagine it'll get back up to speed once the high wears off.

The Tremily ETF has had some nice recent payouts and getting in on the ground floor is of course and there's a lot of neat variability there. There's of course your basic Tracer/Emily bonds, and then there's the Widowmaker commodity whose value you see affecting stuff like OT3 and YNDR. Personally I'm more fond of the more comedic stuff revolving around the triangle, but there is value in the darker and more violent stuff.

Tracer-associated assets haven't grown as much as they had back in the earlier half of the year with investors shifting to more dynamic stuff like Pharmercy securities, but I think this'll really revitalize it.

Maybe it's true, let's just remind ourselves that despite some drawbacks, the situation is still full of positives too in the end.

Tracer is canon lesbian and as long as Overwatch as a franchise exists she will never be shoved into some het romance.

And thus any ship featuring her you liked is now one step closer to canon than it was before.

And specifically for those who shipped her with Amelie, well all the subtext is still there and they will definitely cross paths sooner or later again, so who knows what's gonna happen with them. Imagine you start watching the first season of a show that has 10 seasons and is still going on. You don't assume the first person the MC gets on with will be the last, right? Why do it here?

As for Pharmercy, Chu clarified Pharah wasn't on a date and Mercy/Genji keeping in touch doesn't necessarily mean anything will become of it in a romantic context.

I'm trying to point out that plenty of posts here are going far, far beyond the spectrum of what's rational.
I'm fine with negativity. I'm a Widowtracer shipper too, so a part of me is absolutely saddened that my main ship is looking quite a ways off at the moment. And I'm not going to deny that there are definitely some issues (or a whole lot, actually) with Blizzard's storytelling and how it's more often than not an afterthought to them, but there are ways of communicating this without going over the top.

For all I care, feel free to let Blizzard know about your concerns on Twitter or their forums or wherever, but going "CHU CHU IS A HACK AND HE ONLY CARES ABOUT GENJI FUCK THIS GAME" is just really counterproductive.

Being angry is fine. Being an idiot is not. I want cool as heck gay shenanigans too, but making us look like the standard crazy fringe internet-people won't help.
