"I do things my way" is fine when you're an actual artist, I'm fine with a variety of styles.

Typesetting isn't an art. It's a science. There's a specific goal: to preserve the image as much as possible, so it looks like the text is the only thing that was edited. The typesetter is not the artist, just like the translator is not the writer. What you are doing is no different than someone "translating" a manga by putting in entirely new lines because they think "I can tell this story my way".

If anyone here's interested, the new USN CV will be a large CV that doesn't have an armoured flight deck (大型正規空母 = large standard carrier). So that rules out Midway-class. And that leaves Lexington, Essex and Yorktown classes, in decreasing order of size. (The rest are around the size of Souryuu/Hiryuu or smaller so I didn't consider them.)

Seems like it'll be Lexington since it's the only class of the three that was larger than Akagi and Kaga.

The trailers showed that they still had problems with QUALITY, and that they hardly learned anything from S1, if at all. It would take a really deluded optimist to hope that the movie stood any chance of redeeming S1, but then again this is /u/. I think at this point people want S2 to crash and burn just so they can get off this ride already, since it seems like it won't be cancelled.

The battle scenes were reportedly better. The first half of the movie wasn't so bad. It was at the second half where things went to shit. Then again most of the positive reviews came from people who admitted to having extremely low standards, so there's that too.

Almost forgot: if resources are a problem, 6 subs works for chipping. For easy mode it might even work for last kill. You just have to send boss support, and you can use your best bombers/guns for that. The downside is you need to give some subs recon seaplanes to get enough LoS to reach the boss.

I've always hit my limit at E-4 on every event. Have literally never been able to get any E-5 reward. Either I can't deal enough damage to the boss, half my fleet gets taiha'd at the pre-boss node, then I end up using up all my buckets and resources trying over and over again. I'm thinking I have horrible luck with RNG

I did actually finally pick up Hiryuu, but not sure how much help she'll be at lvl 1. Also finally crafted a Reppu. No Shinden Kai 2, and I used up a bunch of baux that I'm not sure I'll have enough if I ever get to E-5

You shouldn't need more than 15k bauxite for E5 (10-12k is a closer estimate), and you still have a week left. Keep running sparkled expeditions 5 and 6, and either 2 or 38 (depending on whether you need more fuel/steel or ammo/buckets).

Well, I *tried* to run E5. Not enough air power to get air superiority or to prevent my bases from getting damaged for unlocking the hidden starting point. Also half of my fleet has been getting chuuha's or taiha'd four nodes in and on combined fleet maps it takes a toll on my buckets.

Spent about 5000 bauxite (using Shokaku K2) and got one Reppu and one Shinden K2. I'm going back to farming E1 for now and recovering my resources, but currently it looks doubtful I'll be getting Saratoga.

If this had been /a/ or /jp/ you'd be flooded with replies correcting Reppu/Shokaku to Reppuu/Shoukaku and asking if "Shinden K2" was a new plane.

Anyway. First priority is for you to get one S rank at node A. Worry about the air raids later. If the problem is with the Wo node try running route support. Failing that, send one land base squadron to that node. With the fighters you have you should have no reason to fail to get AS; even Zero M52s and M21s you can get from failed attempts can be useful here.

I also forgot to take into account the T96 you get as E4丙 reward in the land bases. So you really only need to fill them out with one bomber with 5+ range. I suggest the Tenzan, especially if you haven't managed to get any good bombers from crafting.

Also grats on Akizuki, although if you do clear E5 and still have time and resources left keep farming E1 for more goodies.

Damn our clashing time zones are making things hard.

What's your starting fighter power when you sortie? Don't you have enough fighters by now? Your target is air superiority at the Wo nodes and at node A (and by extension the air raids right before them). If you don't have enough fighters for that then just forgo more bombers. You lose some fighter power along the way so you have to start with more than the target count. Maybe 340 or something.

And I can't really help much if I don't know which node(s) keep sending you back, and which girls get taiha the most often. Are you using LBAS as well?

Try sending 1 or 2 land base attacks there, and use route support if you aren't already. Also maybe give your more vulnerable ships an Akashi slot (cash item that is sometimes an event reward; gives ships an extra slot that can hold damecon and rations, but requires ships to be level 30+) and give her a repair team. If that still doesn't work, you can try out suijou with 3 fast BB + 2 CA (including Maya) + 1 CV or 3 fast BB + Maya + 2 fast CVL in the fleet.

Each one has its drawbacks.

The event update broke something in the KCV forks (actually all the viewers, but EO and KC3改 have been fixed), and despite fixes only the Korean fork is guaranteed to work. Not a good choice unless you can read Korean or have prior experience with other KCV forks. Still, this one is my favourite by far; since early 2015 at least the Korean fork has been superior to other KCV forks in terms of functions (the original Japanese build is pretty bare).

EO is generally thought to have the worst interface of the three, though YMMV on that. Function wise it's on par and in some aspects even better than the Korean KCV.

KC3改 is an extension only available in Chrome, and some people really don't like Chrome. I couldn't get it to work either, but this one's probably just me.

I got KC3改 working with a little effort. It's quite a helpful little tool. Got my airpower up to 428~446 which was enough to gain AS at all the air raid nodes, but still no supremacy, Got S rank at Node A (no Sakawa drop, not so lucky).


Now I guess it's just a matter of fulfilling the second half of the unlock requirements.

From my experience you have to press F12 to open the Chrome console as the game loads but before the start button appears, then there will be a KanColle tab on the console. If everything goes right, it will load your settings into the panel.

Overkill by about 100.
Rules of thumb: if a range is shown your actual fighter power is far closer to the maximum than the minimum (in fact it's usually the maximum), and adding more fighter power than you need usually does nothing except as buffer.

Still, the air raid seems like it needs a bit more than I previously thought. But on easy mode the debuffing requirements are a bit less stringent so you probably can get away with a bit more than for other difficulties.

After all that I'm down to about 1k bauxite.
Tried showing my fleet to the wikia and they basically all told me I didn't know what I was doing and to equip things that I don't have on ship I don't have. Pretty much what I expected.

Right, now I remember why asking for help on wikia doesn't always work.

Put one base with Saiun/Reppuu/Reppuu/Hien, one with Saiun/Reppuu/Shiden Kai 2/Shiden Kai 2, and one with 4x Zero M52. Saiun helps if you lack good planes since it gives x1.3 fighter power to the squadron it's in.

Also double chevron your fighters somewhere before using them. Like 1-1. It really helps.

The multiplier is only x1.3 so Saiun + Zero M52 is slightly worse than 4x Zero M52. Saiun in landbases would be completely useless for someone who has 12x Hien (244 squadron) but obviously no one has that many.

Well, tried that and still no AS+ even on 2 Wo-class. I guess I'll work on getting the fighters to double chevron and hope there's enough time and bauxite left if I get the unlock.

I'd consider sending a surface fleet the long way, but apparently that's next to impossible.

This is a really dumb question, but how can I filter out the het in danbooru to find only yuri images AND only yuri doujins in pools? Everytime I look up pictures of my favorite shipgirls I have to wade through piles of faceless males and I'm disgusted.

You should've done this from the start. Double chevrons on fighters really can make or break a sortie.

Anyway, updated the fleet for boss clearing, as well as if you want to debuff first. You should double chevron all fighters involved. Bombers are optional but you should also double chevron them once, before you start debuffing the boss (or clearing if you wish to skip the debuff). Maybe sparkle route support.

For node M, use transport fleet. Throw in whatever but include Hatsuzuki if she isn't already level 40 and kai (every exp point counts). She should preferably be at least kai with max armour by the time you get to clearing the boss.

One base has 1 saiun 1 Hien 2 M52, the rest have 1 saiun 3 M52. Chevroning them is encouraged.
Note: This works because the escort fleet's flagship can't sink. It's best to have Hatsuzuki at Kai so you have the 4 Akizuki guns required for this setup to work at its best.

I've been trying to keep my bauxite stocks up, but each sortie with a CTF pretty much drains me. I'm running some expeditions with long timers while I'm at work.

Also what is the LOS requirement to the boss? I got routed to the withdraw node twice now. Added a Saiun to one of my carriers. Also had to add more fighters because air raids are killing me and I don't have the time or resources to go through with debuffing.

No, your extra operations. Map 1-6 has a 25% chance of giving bauxite when you reach the end node, either 100 or 200.

Other methods of getting bauxite if you're desperate enough:
-A Valentine's chocolate gives 1500 bauxite and 700 each of everything else
-A mochi gives 600 fuel and 200 bauxite
-A medal gives 300 of each resource
Though I wouldn't use the mochi or medal until the last day.

Seriously, unless there is a way to beat this without using planes then this event is over for me. Right now I need 820 bauxite to refill my carriers, and I don't think I have any way to get that.

Feeling really depressed right now, after I managed to get this far, built all the fighters I needed, unlocked the starting point, this is the best I could do. The only time I reached the boss and I lightly damaged it.

Suijou. (People have beat it on hard without transport fleet but that probably would be beyond you.) 2 fighter mule CVL is best but it shouldn't cost anywhere as much. You won't get AS at O but you will at T. It's absolutely not recommended on 甲 and even on 丙 people favour kidou, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
