I'm the one writing that D.vaMercy fic, and I could use some input right now. I got a very rough idea for the next chapter I'd like to use, but I'm kinda lacking on the details.

All I have is a title ("All Work and no Play") and that the chapter is supposed to be about Mercy beginning to massively overwork herself for whatever reason (idk, a particularly close call on a mission or w/e) and - more importantly - Hana's reaction to it and how she tries to get Angela to cut it out.

I don't know who has the authority, or even if there is anyone who has authority at the current Overwatch. And I didn't mean it would be done in an antagonizing/giving orders context, more like, Hana would be like "Hey Dad/Winston, doc is practically killing herself in her room, can we do something to force her out, please?" and then, I dunno, Athena seems pretty self aware, maybe they would talk to her and she would be like "your health checks are at all time lows, I advise you take a break" to Mercy. So there would be no need for anyone to even know it was a conspiracy to get her out

If you want it to be the effect of Hana convincing her to get out on her own then...I'd have to think some more about it.

Are there any fics that have explored the concept that Tracer's "happy go lucky" attitude and seemingly constant upbeat nature is in fact a mask and facade for deep psychological problems due to her circumstances that she projects so people don't worry about her? Seems like a decent hook for an angsty little piece where some other female character works this out and it brings the two together as they try to help Lena with her bottled-up emotions.

I've read a lot of stories that are 'slowburn' but a lot of them didn't do it right and they generally ended when they got together for a page or two and that's it. This. I liked it on the grounds that Talon Tracer is supposed to be a hard foil to normal Tracer. Good Tracer would never do this kind of thing while Talon Tracer has no qualms about it. If you feel uncomfortable about it then that's what it's meant to do. I get that a lot of people feel that Talon Tracer should be like Good Tracer but more of a bully.
