Let's play a game. Go to 2chan's yuri board and bring something back.
http://zip.2chan.net/7/futaba.htm
Man, I just realised they don't even have catalog.
>>2012525
>they don't even have catalog.
>solo image dump threads
>males being posted
Savages.
What the hell is this fighter jet meme?
ごきげんよう。
I guess it proves that they're so starved for yuri games that they're even following the work of us filthy gaijin
http://zip.2chan.net/7/res/195881.htm
>>2012537
ごきげんよう。
#百合ネットワーク
This actually turns up a lot of relevant stuff, and no jet memes.
>>2012537
ごきげんようお姉様。
>>2012534
>>2012540
I find it comforting that we have fellow fans suffering from the lack of quality yuri content even there, cute girls doing cute girls connects us all.
>>2012550
Felt like I was going back in time. So much stuff from more than a decade ago
wtf
>>2012577
found it in a candy boy thread
Found this years ago when /b/ had a similar thread.
>>2012581
Did we go to the same thread?
>ごきげんよう
Why?
>>2012824
>Why?
I don't know. Why do some anons on /u/ insist on calling each other onee-sama?
>>2012824
It writes itself when the user doesn't write anything and just posts an image.
In the 2D/random boards it's the キタ━━━(゜∀゜)━━━ッ!! emoji.
>>2012824
Same reason as all the ですわs
>>2012851
Because it pisses people off.
Can't tell if Iona or Ulith
>>2012883
>It used to be used tactfully
Do you have an example of a tactful use?
>>2012883
Okay oneesama:^)
>>2012883
You could equally attribute it to a population gain and not come off as a 'muh sekrit klub' type of person. It just wasn't straight up used since the board was small.
>Candy Boy
>Cardcaptors
>tons of Marimite, like fuckin' everywhere
It's like early 200's /u/
>>2013007
There always has been a shitton of MariMite in there, they post a daily thread with MariMite.
>>2012883
I'm not denying that tumblr has been an influence here, but it's not strange for old, small memes to suddenly spike in popularity. Just look at that Pacha dude.
I use onee-sama because it's a nice way to refer ourselves instead of just anonymous. Plenty of other boards do this as well, so I don't really see the harm.
>>2013007
>It's like early 200's /u/
I think /u/ in the third century AD would have been a little more primitive than that.
>>2012525
>>2012534
They do have a catalog. Click .カタログ below the posting form. The options next to it are for different sorting orders.
Also, I understand that all the Futaba image boards are much smaller and slower than 4chan in general. The real action over there is in the 2ch text boards, which you can't even look at unless you have some sort of special browser or something.
Wow, they sure have a shitty board.

Graffito from Pompeii:
>I wish I could hold to my neck and embrace the little arms, and bear kisses on the tender lips. Go on, doll, and trust your joys to the winds; believe me, light is the nature of men
>>2012883
I remember looking through it in the archives when they were still up. The first use of onee-sama to address other anons was from an anon who got it from the Japanese fandom, somewhere in mid-2014. The spike of onee-sama activity you talk about happened in mid-2015 and correlates exactly with the "I want to become an onee-sama" thread showing up >>1825551.
As for whether or not it comes from tumblr users: the claims of tumblr invasion are older than that, and /u/'s doubling of activity happened with Korra's finale in the last few days of 2014. Nothing here correlates with the use of onee-sama on /u/. In fact, if we assume that you're blaming tumblr for the recurring western threads on /u/ like RWBY and Korra, it's easy to check that sis/sister is a more common form of address between anons in these threads than onee-sama/-chan is. Onee-sama/-chan use is much more frequent in the Citrus and Akuma no Riddle threads, for example.

Sappho lived in the 6/5th century BC so I'm sure it was a thing, but probably very, very scarce. Not to mention almost exclusively ending in hetshit.
>>2013150
Oh, right, it's clear in Latin that the speaker is female.
>>2013152
Good post.
>>2012525
>they don't even have catalog.
>2chan
>no catalog
Where the heck do you think 4chan got its idea for a catalog from?
>>2013150
>and bear kisses on the tender lips
Yuri Kuma? I'm guessing you made an error there. You needed "bare" instead of "bear".
>>2013279
Wrong. Bear has pretty extensive verb usage. Type it in a dictionary and see for yourself. Besides, what's a bare kiss compared to a normal kiss? One not from across saran wrap?
>>2012488
why not 2ch? 2chan is so slow!!
>>2013288I couldn't find 2ch's yuri board.
>>2013288
Isn't 2ch mostly text though?
>>2013288
What the fuck are you gonna bring back from a textboard?
>>2013305
Useful information?
For example, Itou Hachi releases 2 volumes of her doujins in May.
Does 2ch have a yuri board?
>>2013311
Will they be new contents or just compilations of her old works?
Cute Yumi's 'Do your best!' pic.
>>2012534
>click through to see what else the famed futaba has
>see character for girl, one of few kanji I recognize
>click on it
>it's an entire board dedicated to traps
Japs really are just more advanced than us, huh.
>>2013615
Wasn't there like a train board too around there?
>>2013714
What do you think /n/ is here?
>>2013388
Classy and properly saved for4CC.
>>2013305
They post imgur links all the time.
>>2024188
>ant size
>>2024218
>>2024219
>>2012525
And no proper archive.
New Irrationas Us. Spoilers.
