I'm going to try to guess what happened based on the RAWs. I could be completely wrong, this is based solely on pictures.

Harumin believes that Yuzu has no chance, is saddened by twin-tailed girl's sadness about not being able to express her individuality, and tries to discourage Yuzu by saying things such as, "my sister is too alpha lesbian and i couldn't stand up to her, I was too scared and lost my individuality." Yuzu is like, "Naw Harumin, I'm finding my own way and u should too" and Harumin can't believe it so she gets self-defensively upset or something.

That night in bed Yuzu reiterates her determination to the ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to Mei, who is secretly impressed and touched by her words. The next day Yuzu goes up on the stage and gives a speech about freedom that moves Harumin to tears. Mei gives some half-assed speech and is also touched by Yuzu's ideals. Then they kiss or some shit like that.
