Not necessarily. Deadpool doesn't fit in with the family friendly brand, and there are a few x-gays that could potentially get their own movies some day. I know DC has a direct to dvd animated movie that includes Batwoman that just came out, but I have no idea if she actually does anything gay in it. Also the Wonder Woman movie is set in WW1, so I doubt any gay shit is going to happen in that.

I would bring up the possibility of live action Korra movie, but I don't think anyone's going to touch that franchise after Shymalimadingdong tainted it.

Deadpool is not Disney Marvel, he wont crossover with any of the Disney own properties. If we get lucky we get gay marvel in one of the netflix series which is aimed at adults. We already have one side character in that and in Shields, but honestly movie wont happen for awhile. We barely gonna get a female led movie up in 2019.

Deadpool also went aggressively no homo in the movie so even in non Disney Marvel movies I doubt we gonna see anything, and there really arent to many gays in that universe that can lead a movie.

Those two were in Avengers mostly because those two characters first appeared in an Avengers comic, that they are muties is only a second detail. It's a shared rights thing that way. Notice how neither of them is called by their code names, Wanda is missing her actual magic (and is basically a Not!Jean Grey) and Pietro has been killed, coinciding with Quicksilver's appearance in DoFP?
With other characters it's way trickier and Fox HATES Disney, so they won't cut a deal like Sony did for Spidey.

God damn they blew such a great opportunity in the comics.
Jubilee being this happy-go-lucky joker put in a dark place but trying to carry on being happy, and X-23 being this hard-boiled bad ass with a grim as fuck past but searching for something better.
They shove them together and it's basically lesbian buddy-cop style adventure with extra emotionally supporting moments, just waiting to happen. Sadly it only happened for a handful of issues and they haven't done anything with them since.

Just before S3 blindsided us with how good it was, I was feeling Linorra, though I saw pockets of Jinorra in S2 as well. I just honestly could not find myself putting Korra and Asami together.

The former dropped the ball at being a likable protagonist so hard all the way through to the S2 finale by being an insecure bully or stealing some dude I'm supposed to care for from S1E5 on, and I wanted to feel bad for the latter but she was such a non-character and literal vehicle until her welcome surprise upgrade to deuteragonist in S3.

I seriously hope you guys don't undersell just how radically good S3 was, especially in light of the disappointing S1 and abysmal S2. I dropped S2 just before the Wan episodes (which I don't honestly see what the big deal is; they were just non-shit episodes in a horrid season), and only marathoned the end of S2 when S3's Nick-español leaks came out and I was impressed enough to bother being up to date.

That's a bit harsh. I thought for the most part Korra managed to straddle the line between naive/cocky, with quite a bit of character growth thrown in. It wasn't always pleasant to watch or smooth sailing, but she was sincere & generally kind enough to find sympathetic over annoying. But I suppose that's a matter of personal taste.

Gotta hard core disagree with you here. Asami is subtle character, and aside from the more cringey sugary moments with Mako (once again, making everything worse) she's actually more 3 dimensional than either of the unnecessary brothers. Now if she had remained evil like originally conceived, I might've agreed with you.

But I gotta give you B2, where yeah, she backslides and falls terribly flat. But let's be fair, nobody came out of B2 looking good except Wan and Raava, the true LoK OTP.

Trust me, we don't. It's universally agreed here that B3 was the best. And even arguably the strongest in the entire franchise. B4 is also good, but there a few more glaring flaws we get stuck on.

At what point do we say that the horrible matchmaking was intentional by the writers? It's so befuddling to think a human being could see Mako and Korra's interactions as anything remotely resembling a good couple.

It scurrs me that invoking Occam's Razor means amongst the writers there was at least one really really adamant Makorran who had their way for the better part of at least one season.

She was overly nice, but had bite (with Korra at her accusations against Hiroshi and with Mako for his infidelity); she was more moral than loyal when defeating her father twice, but is mostly never overtly rewarded for her immense sacrifice.

Going against her father is easily the biggest personal sacrifice of her own action of all the characters, possibly throughout this series except Hiroshi's death and maybe Lin's futile distraction that had her debended (oh noes).

Even if Asami had the makings of a great character, the cause-effect system for her actions were diminished or negated at every turn, and thus her plotlines never had any weight to the story.

To be fair, everyone actually came out of B2 for the better. B2E1's foreshadowing of Makorra's troubles culminated into a believable, if overly emotional, breakup, Tenzin's family issues were resolved, Bolin finally lived up to his earlygame reputation as a ladies' man and garnered a mentor figure who is a refreshing character in his own right, Mako grew into his cop role and had an exploitable ex-boyfriend dynamic for the next seasons, and Korra finally shed her epithetical obligations and could seriously begin anew as her own character in a Breath of Fresh Air.

It's true a lot of the aftermath of her storylines were off-screen, but I'm not sure that has any bearing on her quality as a character? And while I do think her general plot lines should have been more enmeshed in the main plot (or at the very least not hijacked by...sigh, the unnecessary brothers) I thought her B1 arc was relatively well done, and honestly thanks to the utter botching of how they framed Korra air bending (once again, thanks Mako, for muddying that situation so dumbasses can squeal that Korra "did it for love") it was the most emotional impactful moment in the finale save Korra's utter despair/suicidal mien at the end (which was once again, capped by the grossness of Makorra. SIGH.) Just because we didn't get to see everything play out with her like we did with Korra (a bit of an unfair comparison, Korra is MC after all) considering her a "non-character" just doesn't sit right with me.

O fall of this, this is probably the most irritating. Even if the grill on that window was able to withstand the apartments Korra was flinging at it, there's no way the glass would have. The we just need the airbenders to fly up and send a wind tunnel into the cockpit, breaking everyone's bones. Or Korra just to fly up and lay waste with fire. It's aquite the gutpunch that one of this impossibly invulnerable Colossus malarkey would have been necessary of Nick had left them with enough of a budget to animate the army battle we had been building up to all season. That would have taken Book One money, which I suspect had more for its twelve episodes than the other forty combined.

I like to think that when Mike or Bryan mentioned that the comics would have some focus on Korra and Asami's relationship, that they meant that they would show Korra and Asami interacting with others as a couple. Basically, facing a lot of hurdles as a pair, rather than interpersonal, romantic drama between them.

Bryke also said that comics would allow them to do shit that they couldn't in the show, so lets see if they take advantage of that and show some explicitly sapphic moments.

She was recovered in physical after she got the poison out, that farce in Zaofu was just painful to watch. The doppelgänger didn't emerge until the end so Korra losing physically didn't make sense.

The fact that Kuvira was going toe-to-toe with Korra in the cockpit of the mech shows that even when back in control the show wants to push for these antagonists being able to compete evenly with her. They were really trying to push Kuvira as a threat, but it seriously added to the frustration of seeing Korra being dominated when we'd seen that all of Book 4, and the last ep had shown us that Korra had overcome a huge hurdle.

They tried to achieve two things with that fight.

First, Korra had no beef with Kuvira, so they needed something to make it more personal. Fine. I can buy Kuvira wanting to kill Korra, even if it should make the entire world turn against her, because she had done several things that should have brought all the other nations down on her and it never materialised.

But the next part; making Kuvira seem like a threat by having her trounce Korra before Korra's flashback felt contrived and hurt Korra more than it helped Kuvira.

It all goes back to the problem of making Korra achieve the Avatar state in Book 1. If they had known they would have four seasons, there is NO way they would have done that. Because of that, they have the Avatar State's power being wildly inconsistent. In Book 2, we're told Korra can't defeat Unalaq's army with the Avatar state. In Book 4, we're told Korra CAN defeat Kuvira's much larger, far better equipped army with the Avatar state.

Even then, there are plenty of times throughout the latter three seasons where Korra doesn't use the Avatar state simply because there would be no show if she did. Trying to sneak into Unalaq's camp. Being held captive by Eska and Desna. Rescuing the airbenders from the Earth Queen. Escaping the blimp and the desert. Fighting atop Laghima's Peak. Fighting Kuvira, both times.

Even outside Avatar state, Korra is still the strongest in the world, so Kuvira ever matching her was just for drama.

And though the Avatar comics aren't regarded well even in other places, they have him pick up a city and defeat a spirit with pure strength - with earth, his so called weakest element.

They may have been trying to sell that whole "the world doesn't need you" angle, but then they have the characters pay lip service to Korra.
We see how in AtLA how Roku bested his teachers with feats far exceeding them while being trained and before he masted the Avatar State.

AtlA was rather light-hearted if you compare it with Korra and definitely aimed at more younger kids, hence Aang was barely allowed to lose and I'm actually surprised they got away with what they did when it came to his defeats. Korra had a much more mature tone and was aimed at an older audience and as thus Korra was allowed to job a lot, because the modern hero these days is suppossed to struggle a lot so that when they overcome the struggle they come out better and stronger (jeez like Korra DOES in the end, who would have thought!). So it's not about what she's suppossed to be able to do in universe much more in what the tone of the show allowed. If they could have done so with AtlA then you can bet your ass that Aang would have jobbed as much if not more so than Korra.

It's also a matter of what she could use inside the Colossus. Was pretty limited to air (worst element) and fire and a little bit of metal (which she hasn't remotely mastered yet compared to Kuvira, Lin and Suyin for example). Sure she could have ROASTED Kuvira if she wanted to, but she didn't, as was clearly shown that she tried to talk with her as soon as the Mech went down.

I can't definitively recall, but I think she "flashes" into the avatar state briefly for the big stuff, using it just enough to get it done then dropping it. The only time she really uses it full bore is during her fight with Zaheer? And redirecting the spirit beam canon?

They did; but they were all related to achieving the state or dying while in it. Once you've mastered it, you've mastered it.

It's why they they came up with (some justified) reasons as well as contrivances for Korra not to use it.

Aang did job surprisingly often. To Jet, the FN archers, Azula, Combustion Man.

Korra, with the exception of Amon (where our hero Mako is the one that resists him) didn't job to the same opponent twice. An equalist surprises her with chi blocking (thanks White Lotus), and next time, she's ready. Overwhelmed by the big daddies, next time she beats them easily. Loses to Unavaatu, then beats Unavaatu (I'm ignoring the retardation of Jinora knowing how to find Raava better than fucking Korra). Loses to Kuvira ex machina, beats Kuvira.

It's nothing new in stories for the hero to struggle and eventually overcome obstacles. Korra just got more criticism for it because she wasn't muh fun loving, all powerful Aang, who most definitely never spent episodes angsting or did retarded shit that drove the viewers insane.

She uses it for her first big attack when they use the Hoth trick on the Colossus legs, But Only at the beginning. Her only sustained use of it beyond a flash is when using her air funnels to fly away from the spirit cannon blasts.

The first season's ending unforgivably bad. I really cannot understand what they were thinking beyond "oh shit, we have only one episode to wrap everything up!" Season two would have been fine but they stupidly decided that we needed "payoff" for Jinora's spiritual awakening throughout the season when we already got it when Jinora helped Korra go to the Spirit World. They created a rod for their own backs there. What happened to her in season three was justified, and only feels bad because of the shit that happened in the first two season finales where they prioritised other characters (who are incidentally two of the show's most hated characters) ahead of the damn protagonist. And that's why she feels weak.

I would have liked if Korra went toe-to-toe with the Colossus, using a lot of the Avatar State, and eventually disabling it for the Hiroshi sacrifice. Then show Korra is fatigued and slightly struggling so she meets Kuvira in a sub-optimal condition.

Also, show Korra pulling her punches with fire and air (desu, it looked like she was doing that anyway) so that it's clear she's trying not to kill Kuvira. Korra blasted a sixty-foot wide wind tunnel at the Colossus. If she had done anything even a fifth of that in the cockpit there would have been nowhere for Kuvira to go.

Korra fighting Kuvira rather than swatting her aside was a concession Bryke made to having a dramatic finale.

I think Remembrances seemingly happening not long afterwards shows that Asami was pretty glued to Korra's side after that (at least until Raiko called Asami in). With hindsight, you can read between the lines of the quarrel they had and see that Asami was pissed and felt abandoned by Korra, at least for the previous six months. So she snapped at her when Korra strolled in saying "I hope I haven't kept you waiting long," and followed it up by questioning Hiroshi's intentions when Hiroshi had been reaching out to Asami non-stop. Something she wanted from Korra.

Point is, Asami reacting like she did wasn't about Hiroshi; it was about Korra. Asami and Korra seem pretty miserable that they upset each other until they have to go all action to rescue Wu. Then the tension seemingly gets resolved with the big gay hug at the end of Reunion.

But the finale showed Korra kept it on her mind the whole time. Which was great.
