I think rather of complaining about male characters, they should complain about the quality of Yuri Hime works in general.
There isn't good comedies like Shinozaki-san, or good action works like Murcielago. In fact, these two series would be the kind of thing Yuri Hime needed right now.
Instead we have Tachibanakan and Shoujo Shikkaku, both that are...pretty bad, actually.
The idea of having something else with yuri in it is good, but without quality works, it's useless.

So far it looks that their generic romantic stories still are the only worth ones. Unless we're just getting translation of the bad works.

Of the big decisions is allowing/forbidding gay marriages. One of your counsellors is a lesbian, and there are also a couple of gay NPCs in the world, but they are mostly unimportant. You can make certain decisions regarding their sexuality, like whether to reveal it to the rest of your counsellors or not, other than that, however, it doesn't really come into play.

As for /u/ content, there isn't much. You can only play as a male MC, so no F/F romance for the player.

Anon who read the Hidan no Aria AA Chinese scanlations here. I didn't realise that Koukaku no Pandora is now an upcoming anime, but it's going to be the highlight of winter season for me. Since the English scans are far behind, I'll just talk a little bit about the series so that any skeptics can rest assured that it's legit yuri.

Of course, almost every chapter features a really suggestive scene where Clarion grants Nene access to the Pandora Device, which basically comes out looking like Nene is fingering Clarion to orgasm.

Some might argue that this is all fanservice shit, suspecting that their relationship never goes anywhere beyond Clarion barely tolerating Nene's affectionate advances. I am endlessly glad to say that you'd be wrong!

Clarion later comes to value Nene's happiness (and not just her life, the protection of which is merely her duty) so much that, in typical manga/anime fashion, she goes on a borderline self-sacrificial rampage through enemy headquarters to ensure that Nene can live her life as she pleases.

Also, she takes painstaking effort to avoid killing anyone during the rampage, all because she was informed that if she caused any deaths, "You would lose the only right you have to be by Nene's side!" Yeah.

So for those of you who enjoy ideological conflicts between the two members of your ship, the only time Nene has ever drawn away from Clarion was when Clarion showed that she was willing to sacrifice a child's life if it meant that Nene would be safe.

So, I just finished Noir, it was a pretty good show I guess, a little weak story-wise, I suppose the bread and butter of the series was the action scenes and the relationship between Kirika and Mirielle, but can I ask why /u/ seems to like it so much? There really isn't any yuri in it, the only yuri bits being some rather short nude scenes between Chloe and Kirika that only manages to get in one kiss and a single handhold. Over all, the series just felt really barren and subpar. Even the gunfights were just sort of meh, and it has the ungodly annoying trope of faceless badguys in suits getting killed in one shot with no entry wound or blood whatsoever. I sort of wish the filler episodes had more interaction between Kirika and Mirielle and less of them going to a foreign country to assassinate a faceless badguy with a mildly interesting backstory.

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is, the series isn't terrible, and I can sort of see why it developed a cult following, but why specifically is it so popular here?

Dunno about others, but I recall liking the atmosphere, and the slow-burn relationship development. I also don't particularly care about whether characters express their relationship physically and I like series that ramble through a bunch of side-stories. Then again, I was also a yuri-starved teenager when it first aired, and any serious show that emphasized the emotional bond between two women (well) was amazing. So I'm honestly not sure whether I'd recommend it today, I'd probably have to rewatch it first.

Firstly not all PR actors are Americans. In the most recent Saban series they have an Indonesian, two New Zealanders and a Brazilian.

Secondly, I don't know how much Japanese scenes they removed in favor of reshot American footage but I'm guessing it varies with each series. You have the series which mashed shows together (Original PR, Megafarce) to the straight up adaptations (Time Force). It's interesting to note that in re-shooting the Ahim scene, they changed the schoolgirl uniform for a police uniform.

If you're saying that it's bad in itself that Power Rangers exists as it is then I'll have to disagree. I've stopped watching it ages ago but the main problems I remembered with Saban's original was the bad slapstick/pun jokes.
