I don't think Kuro is harming her on purpose. It may even be a kind of healing. By turning her hair white he may be protecting her while she's isolated. The color white seems to be associated with protection and healing, the white flowers, the glowing white tentacles Kuro uses when coco is sick, how the white flowers in her stories turn her normal, etc. She seems to be weaker when she locks herself away, before when she was more sociable she liked being outside to write - now she must shut all the curtains because she can't think without the dark. She also doesn't like seeing her reflection. But we'll see.
I just feel like a bunch of foreshadowing has gone on. I can totally see Maria taking after the doctor, working with Coco on the flowers while learning about Kuro, and the irony of her living at the mansion that her brother said she was too coward to ever set foot near.

Yeah I remember watching it ongoing and laughing at how silly the fights were. Kiddy Grade has a more serious atmosphere, but the bond between girls is pretty much the same, if not stronger. I watched both last year and I'd definitely say that Kiddy Grade is the stronger series, both in the yuri sense and in general. In fact, I kind of already forgot a lot about Kiddy Girl.
