I just finished listening to this podcast. I found it fascinating, I'd highly recommend it. Jon Ronson, who wrote the book The Men Who Stare at Goats, and was also one of the co-writers of the movie Okja, investigates what the effects of the rise of tube sites like PornHub is having on porn producers, and the people who use the sites. It was really funny, and really sad in places, I was wondering what everybody else's take was.
One part made me seriously angry, when he talked with a porn star who got a text from her 13-year-old daughter while she was shooting a scene. Her daughter was in school the other kids had found her mom's videos on PornHub. She said that one kid asked the girl if there were any videos of her on PornHub as well, but the thing the girl was most upset about is that she saw a porn video that her mom made ON HER DAUGHTER'S BED. When the mom got home, after finishing her porn shoot of course, her daughter was so upset she had pulled all the sheets off her bed in disgust. I felt extreme hatred for that woman, especially because even after putting her daughter through that, she still goes off and makes porn, just not in her kid's room anymore. All of her friends know her mom's a whore, and it's the sickest thing I've ever heard.
The rest of it is really great though. A very interesting and entertaining listen.
Soooo where might someone find this if they don't have an audible account?

It's actually free right now for a limited time, but you can also listen to Audible podcasts if you're an Amazon Prime member.

That gets brought up in the series as well. I think the whole thing is very interesting.

>that guy who talks about how he only eats chicken tendies and girlfriends have broken up with him over it
This affected me more deeply than anything else.
Everything by Jon Ronson is good.
Them! is one of my favorite books. He's done some TV documentaries as well. He was very good on Joe Rogan recently.

Might I recommend:
The Secret Rulers of the World

The Crazy Rulers of the World

He just interviews people and speculates. He does not claim to believe anything these people say. Really interesting nonetheless.

Oh I'm interested.

He covers the same bit in Them! (his book about talking to "extremists") Alex and Jon go to Bohemian Grove together and it is lit.
>that turbo autist who tries to impress a girl by sending her a ton of anime porn and telling her he wants to rape her in the ass
Poor guy, he really doesn't deserve to be on the sex offender list for 20 years, but good grief.
