Why were the 90's so much better? The overall feel of the movie is so good that the medicore acting and story doesn't even hurts it.

Cinema is just dead now. There are no 2nd tier big budget movies now. Just capeshit, bad comedies, and date movies.

Tell me the last movie that had an a A-list actor in it that was shot on location in an extreme environment.
