Is there a really awesome tale or short book that hasn't been adapted into a movie/game/series?
I've been trying to adapt various with a report of sorts but they all came out like unoriginal pieces of shit.

Comics are still a good option. Transmetropolitan (sci fi/cyberpunk), The Boys (capeshit for people who fucking hate capeshit) or my personal pick, 100 Bullets. If I had $100 million in the bank, I'd be bankrolling a screen adaptation of 100 bullets.
Then again, seeeing as how they utterly fucked up Preacher, maybe it's better these were left alone.

What didn't you like about Preacher's adaptation? Imo it's quite good, loosely based on source material, but maintains the mood of the series and still is able to surprise with a plot those who read comic

Me too, but what do we got instead? a rich prick with a lot of money who paid for the adaptation of re:zero with rem and subaru.

Gregor the Overlander. A book series by the same woman who wrote hunger games. I fucking tore through those books in middle school. This underground civilization rides giant bats and fights giant rats and shit. Would make a fucking great cartoon series or a game if you got the mechanics right
