Small rooms with single doors are a lot easier to secure for a loner than any of the tunnels/major areas.
1) Barricade the door
2) Knock a firing port into the wall of the adjacent room at about head height
3) remove cadaver
4) Expand hole to climb through
5) Back to step one, until you run out of rooms or zombies
