I just finished watching the series on netflix. I couldn't get over how much they talked about golfing with clients being important and such, like it's the most common activity mentioned that isn't going to dinner or a bar, and yet they never did it.

In the last season they almost went golfing, but then they never showed it.

I don't know why I got so obsessed over this but I can't get over it. I don't even like golf.

Come on now, I like mad men a lot too. The show just isn't as cleverly orchestrated as it tries to make you believe though. A show that does have those deep layers of character examination is the sopranos, most of which goes over their heads.
