The anime holds up horribly. Even Kai, which is supposed to be a shortened version of the series with no filler, is long and unnecessarily drawn out.

Android saga is the best but Cell kind of ruins it. It's still good though because Cell isn't so bad. Watch that or watch the movies instead if you never have. Starting from the beginning is totally doable though, just expect the best episodes to come later.

At least the Super movies had some interesting animation. The TV show looks and sounds like shit through and through.

My only complaint about the series is how certain characters lose their ability to be useful and are pushed out by other characters. Like Oolong, wtf happened to him? Too many characters, power levels get insane in later seasons. There should be a cap eventually cause by Buu on of their blasts should have realistically blew up the planet, not just Kid Buu's orb explosion.
