Things were pretty heated politically after Trump got elected. I think many people and organizations, including AS, have overreacted trying to "fight back" against the right wing boogeyman they made up. It's left wing revenge for the upset that was the 2016 election.

So in other words, if Hillary won MDE would still be on the air because they wouldn't be seen as so threatening.
