How do I become a "film buff" without being like, a pretentious pseud asshole about it? Been wanting to get into the art form more, but I'm afraid of becoming what many people hate.

I can only do this by watching a lot of different movies and having sufficient knowledge to appreciate them properly, that is I must be a buff.
