every fucking time. Is the benchmark for a good series being mind blowingly dull and tedious?

I hate it too, every show is like, "hey you, sit in a chair and look at a screen for hours".
Fuck that shit lmao
the sopranos is objectively the closest the medium of television has ever come to being art
nothing since has remotely even attempted to come close and probably never will

this is exactly the kind of talk that proves you are an idiot though. You do realise you've said nothing, provided no argument or basis for your endorsement whatsoever and its the same shit you'll hear from every other moron that loves the show. It's tedious, it has character development but over 6 seasons that's not impressive, and the plot is extremely thin.
As an example, the two clowns who shoot Christopher are acting totally out of character and all we get is a vague chat in a bar to set it up. Rest of the time we see them they are desperate to get in Tony's good books and are extremely anxious about violence. It's poor writing with a tedious setting and uninspired characters.

That would be Westworld or even Game of Thrones if normies weren't talking about it.

And why can't it be? What makes Sopranos any different from Mad Men?
