Shame the posters for most of these are probably better than the actual movies. It's a lost art. A great poster could make you fantasize about what the film could be like in your head before seeing it. Now that physical renting places are dead and there's everything easily available online, you rarely see posters or have the time to imagine what it could be about.

Excalibur is fantasykino.
The Duellists is one of Ridley Scott's finest movies.
Becket is good, though I prefer The Lion in Winter.
I also liked The Yakuza. Black Rain is similar in a way (Americans getting involved with the yakuza), but I haven't watched it for more than a decade; I have a vague but positive memory of it.

Thanks! I'd been eyeing Death Race for awhile but was hesitant to pull the trigger without actually hearing a person, and not a website of questionable motives, say it's good. I'll give it a shot.
