I mean it's gotta be a totally different movie, because instead of a whole bunch of dudes ganging up on the weaker ones it'll be small groups warring with one another then tons of infighting for the women. You can't just replace man with woman, they're totally different biologically, they'll react to things much differently. I hope they take this into account while they're writing it.

lord of the flies made a lot of sense to me when i was a kid, but it makes absolutely no sense to me now. the boys would not be cruel to each other in that way. more likely they would have leaned on each other for survival and turned piggy into a sex slave instead of bullying him.

This could be pretty decent if they adjust the story to show what the girls would actually do, but that would require Hollywood to acknowledge there are differences in the sexes and they don't like to do that.

If they make this it should be about the girls socially excluding/bullying each other more and more as resources run low, with backstabbing and politicking. Maybe have some little bitch drive Angourie Rice to suicide.

If they remain faithful to the book with an all-female cast there is no purpose to the remake and it would make no sense.
