Why did this get such bad reviews? It's not a masterpiece

I actually agree completely. The movie def sucks in many ways but it's the next best thing after T1 and T2. Everything else is poo.

Genesis was fun which is really all I want out of these movies.

I saw it in theatres and it was everything I expected.

I didn't need exposition or a conclusion to the story.

They played it too safe, and made it yet another "find and protect MacGuffin character" plot. They should have made it a proper post-apocalyptic war movie.

Not to mention recycling lines and themes from previous movies. This just reeked of cash-grab from a dying franchise with no new ideas.

Anton Yelchin is the only reason to watch this thing. His Michael Biehn impression was spot-on.

Genesis was fun. The throw back to the old movies really made it.

I'm not sure what's left for the franchise. It kinda seems like it's been milked dry at this point.

T2 > T1 > Genisys > T3 > eating clue > Salvation
